Screenshots definitely don’t work and I have a suspicion that the Burnley app detects the screenshot and marks the ticket as used. That’s my experience of doing that
They do work, because my mate who took my ticket for Sunderland used a QR code I screenshot and sent to him

It's a QR code, as long as the scanner can read it, it shouldn't matter what the code is on, be it a screen or a piece of paper.

Fair enough, just saying what my experience is with them

We’ve had this discussion quite recently
There are all sorts of reasons why someone may not have a smartphone or may not have access to it on a matchday.
A lot of children under 11 for a start, and some quite a bit older.
There will also be quite a number of supporters who have a laptop or PC, and can therefore access this site, but don’t have a smartphone
You can get a SIM card for calls and texts only for less than £4/ month. It’s all that some people need or want, and it’s not for others on here to judge them for this choice.
(I also know at least one person - obviously not a poster on here - who has no mobile phone of any kind.)
You don't actually need a mobile phone to post on a message board. It's perfectly possible to have a PC but no phone.
