Typical that the cricket starts just as the football does.

Now seven down - building up to a top day tomorrow.

Another wicket. Wood gets Starc 168-7

Nearly a blunder between Brook and Barstow but Brook takes a cracking catch in the end

Good job it was caught because Bairstow should have gone for it as he was facing it and he has dirty great big gloves on.

Cannot believe he didn’t go for that, clearly the keeper’s catch. Brilliant thought from Brook.

Really difficult catch for Brook. It possibly should have been Bairstows who had a much better view but hey ho, it's taken that's the main thing.

Another before close could be a cracking setup for tomorrow

My only thought on that is Brairstow isn't the lightest on his feet and possibly realised that as Brooks had a bit more chance to make more ground.

First thing your taught in junior cricket is to call the catch, one of them should have attempted that at least

Twists and turns.

This is not Test Cricket.

Can batters not leave a ball once in a while?

The whole shebang has me at a complete mental standstill.

Bit if a no brainer to bring him back into the attack. We bowl so much better when we look to take the wicket rather than restrict the runs.

Weather forecast a bit iffy for next 2 days so probably won't have the 2 full days to get the runs, will be interesting to see how England approach this run chase.

I know they want to start on the front foot and show the Aussies they are up for it, but it just frightens me when England openers start so aggressively like this.

It's absolutely fine to leave bad balls, even more so when there's like 20 mins left and a ball swinging.

Some lovely shots by Duckett. Short slip catch which missed, and a edge which popped over slip again. Warning signs for him, will he take any notice?

25-0, run rate of 8 an over ....
