Only redeeeming positive is we got the three points. This Burnley side not only makes hard work of it, but can make poor sides look very good. Too many players off it tonight-Pires,Flemming, Edwards, Roberts, Anthony, even the pairing of Esteve & CJ
Fair play to them, winning games with only 4 players doing their jobs.

or maybe you've got your expectation levels wrong?

If we were playing scintillating fast flowing football then I wouldn't moan. It's just so practical, predictable and ultimately boring.
Winning is boring.... you're right.

Great win after Saturday's debacle and closed the ground on the top two.

Let's hope the other three start slipping up and we keep grinding out results.

I’ll take a boring win over an exciting loss but that game was still awful.

I'd be interested in taking a punt on their lad up front, Yousef Salech.

That physicality and ability to convert half chances is precisely what we need.
I thought the same. He's only just turned 23, Cardiff paid £4m for him in January.

Another who was impressed with Salech. I’d seen his name mentioned by a few scouting type accounts on X prior to the Cardiff move, so it seems he was known in those circles. He was a real focal point for them, scored a good goal (4 in 7 now) and arguably gave CJ and Esteve their toughest challenge of the season.

One positive for me was that i felt it was Sarmiento's best game for us so far.

Our squad is valued at approximately 5 times the value of Cardiffs and our wage bill is considerably more than there’s.

Can we stop with this small town ********
I said small town, not small time. Burnley is a very small town and we are lucky to have had a history at the club of moderate, and at times great, success. I don’t care how much money we have or how much the squad is worth, my point is we should be proud of what we achieve. I support a football club (and have done for sixty odd years) not a bank and my point is, as I think you have proved, that we seem to have aquired a small number of fans who have a slightly ‘entitled’ attitude. People who seriously believe we should be walking arguably the most difficult league in the world.
If we don’t win promotion, auto or otherwise, it won’t be failure, it will simply be we weren’t quite good enough. Clubs have spent far more money on players than us and still not won anything.
