In all seriousness, people were turning there noses up at Moyes and Lampard at the start and now the likley looking candidates are Bellamy or Parker.

Fabregas - would be a yes from me, but recently his newly promoted side Como have entered negotiations to sign Varane so I suspect he won’t be going anywhere

So reading between the lines.

CB had had a fall out with VK or at least a different view on things.
VK had wanted a new coach in to replace CB hence the arrival of Henrik Jensen
VK then moves on so CB decides/is asked to stay on to guide the interim period knowing that it could be a longish process.
CB agrees as it keeps in paid work/looks good on his CV and there is the possibility that there may be a role further on down the line.
In the mean time the Welsh managers job becomes available and CB applies? could kill two birds with one stone and everyone is happy?

Is that where we are at and if not where is it wrong?


The bit that doesn't sit comfortably with with me is the appointment of Jensen. Might be a great coach but what is he doing here now that VK is not. Why has he not gone to Bayern Munich if he wanted him that much?

Jensen is a coach, assistant first team coach not assistant manager. We’re two coaches light after vk took two with him.

I’m quite sure we had conversations with him before he started with us ‘vk’s gone but we’d still like you onboard as part of the first team coaching staff’.

I agree with the sentiment… but to be fair, I believe you’ve selected the wrong name to make your point.
People were RIGHTLY turning their noses up at Lampard. What a shockingly bad appointment that would’ve been. Anyone with a measurable degree of intelligence can work that out, right? Absolutely no way would the appointment of Parker be worse than the appointment of Lampard…. You only have to look at their records to see that.

Who is making the decisions though Tony, i dont think any self respecting manager will want someone not qualified to be making these decisions making them for him though. This has disaster written all over it.

If we are letting Bellamy guide the chairman then what is his role apart from caretaker, where does he go once the new man comes in if he does?

I cant see any good manager with a decent track record wanting to work with a load of people he doesnt know especially with a chairman with two relegations on his cv.

It was mentioned in Mission to Burnley and it's been mentioned on here before there is a transfer committee in place, that is made of manager/coaches, scouts, data analytics chairman etc.

Besides Taylor hasn't been sold, his contract expired, BPF obviously wasn't in the plans for this season either
