That first half was abysmal and deserved negativity, second half has been a completely different story.People are entitled to their opinion whether you like it or not.dvalley69 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 4:41 pmThe epitomy of this board during. What a bunch of miserable, sad gits you all are with no positive outlook at all. A game is 90+ minutes and it's never over till it's over. This is a poor league overall. In the past we probably would be midtable, but not this year. We'll be there or thereabouts coz when we believe and pish forward we've got some decent players. Some areas we're clearly lacking in but we'll have to wait and see for Jan if we can improve, especially full back areas and up top.

Negativity was fully justified first half.. a lot of people called for the subs and we have been better since the changes..
Took a worldie and more battle from our midfield , but a far more professional and organised second half

Parker didn't bring subs on because fans were moaning. He always uses subs in the second half. Part of his tactics are to make changes when he puts subs on.

I said earlier at 1-0 if we win this game we win the league.
Not won yet.
But I stand by it.
So much adversity today.

Amazing that Hannibal goes down holding his face, clearly a dive but the referee restarts the game without checking. Last week the ref couldn't wait to give every single one of them for Derby.

Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
Commentator on Sky said Norwich’s only home defeat in past 12 months was a “shock defeat” against Bristol City. That wasn’t a “shock” as the Norwich squad was decimated by injuries at the time (BBC match report confirms it).
Brilliant today from Burnley with Scott Parker using all of his experience to turn things around. Sky commentator says “Burnley so well organised, so well disciplined”. Who instilled that into them I wonder?
What a win for Burnley!!

Re: Norwich v Burnley Sunday 15th Dec Match thread
For 60 mins we were all over the place. The changes had a very big impact for us and we found our urgency.
I criticised Parker because that was on him for the first 60, but credit where it is due he made some big calls with those attacking changes and it has ultimately got us the 3 points, so well done because we really needed that today.
Still well in this title race. Come on!

Big win, fair play for second half - far more fight and balance. I hope Parker has learnt something. Doesn't really paper over cracks though. There are glaring issues in the set up and personel. A big window coming up.
