Re: Dyche ------->Palace
Does anybody know, or strongly believe, that Sean Dyche is an applicant for the vacancy at Palace?
It is obvious that some people believe he has applied for that job. If he has, good luck, and if he does not get it good luck, Sean, with the next one. But if he has applied for any other job the Board would have to believe he is going elsewhere as soon he can find the right offer. So they should be very cautious of going for Sean's signing targets until they are sure he will be the manager who will deploy them.

Dyche has had two interviews with Palace. The first one he went along under the alias of Mr F de Boer and the second as Mr C Ranieri!

Well it would given him two chances of getting the job.* Which alias did Palace like best?kaptin1 wrote:Dyche has had two interviews with Palace. The first one he went along under the alias of Mr F de Boer and the second as Mr C Ranieri!

Re: Dyche ------->Palace
I'd be more worried if there was actually any quotes from the board ,Sean ,Palace or anybody truely in the know. It fills column inches and keeps bookies busy.

Ranieri now favourite with Skybet, William Hill and Ladbrookes. Looks like we're stuck with him, folks.
Re: Dyche ------->Palace
Palace chairman said they wanted a manager for the long term. How old are ranieri and pellegrini?

Re: Dyche ------->Palace
Going off Palaces record thats a massive six month stint then. Sean knows he can and will do better and build a team that at worst will be regulars in the Europa league. Burnley ?Saxoman wrote:Palace chairman said they wanted a manager for the long term. How old are ranieri and pellegrini?

Dyche still favourite (or joint favourite) with 5 or 6 bookmakers.
This is due to rumble on again into next week and maybe beyond.

Re: Dyche ------->Palace
That's how I've seen it - for most of the time there have been two close together with Sean Dyche always one of them. Most of the others have dropped off. Nothing in it now between him and Ranieri who is hardly the long term manager they claim to be looking for.dermotdermot wrote:His name is sticking there whilst others come and then drop off. Oh dear.

It's certainly dragging on a bit now.

Re: Dyche ------->Palace
The truth is, nobody on here knows what is going to happen with Dyche. I think its pretty obvious Parish likes Dyche but nobody on here knows the situation in terms of who is Palace's first choice or if Dyche is interested. The sensible thing to do is wait and see and not do what some have done on here and pretend they know what's going on.Ollyd wrote:Does anybody know, or strongly believe, that Sean Dyche is an applicant for the vacancy at Palace?

For Dyche to drop to 1-5 obviously means something significant happened maybe he was seen there I don't know
Hope he stays because he's the best manager I've seen in my time but if he goes so what?
At least Arfield won't be on the wing again next season

Re: Dyche ------->Palace
If he has applied for the palace job and he didnt get it . What would the reaction of fans because he must be confident in getting it otherwise he wouldnt apply (thats if he has of course ) would there be a way back for him ? Or would we be better off looking elsewere . Its an akward situation reallyKRBFC wrote:The truth is, nobody on here knows what is going to happen with Dyche. Re: Dyche ------->Palace
But non of us know the situation, if it came out at a later date that he applied and he got turned down id agree with you but right now, everyone is guessing what is happening.Reecey1987 wrote:If he has applied for the palace job and he didnt get it . Re: Dyche ------->Palace
If the betting odds are an accurate representation of events, then I can only see two scenarios: one, Dyche is desperate for the job but Parrish is looking all over the shop to try and get someone better; two, Parrish desperately wants Dyche but can't get Dyche to come. One is unlikely because Dyche wouldn't be desperate for the job if Parrish didn't want him. Two isn't a worry.
Re: Dyche ------->Palace
Applied is probably the wrong term here. And there's a big difference between applying for a position and showing an interest (or perhaps listening to what they have to say).
I've nothing against the latter and don't think it necessarily muckies his ticket with us.

Re: Dyche ------->Palace
Precisely it's all newspaper talk dyche has done well this season palace are looking for a manager. Lazy journos just want to fill the columns in with gossip it's the close season there have nothing much else to write about odd transfers etc until something comes out from either club official statements there's nothing much to go on apart from the sun star etc.KRBFC wrote:But non of us know the situation, if it came out at a later date that he applied and he got turned down id agree with you but right now, everyone is guessing what is happening.

Or, Dyche is on holiday with his family and will see how the land lies when he gets back.
Meanwhile, folk obsess about clueless next manager betting market odds.

Re: Dyche ------->Palace
if its all been rumours and paper talk, no probs, but if it turned out he actively sought a move away or had talks but was uncertain, then I would lose faith and belief in him.
Re: Dyche ------->Palace
If you believe bookies listen to 'paper talk' then i suggest you stay away from any sort of gambling
Re: Dyche ------->Palace
No, but punters do listen to paper talk and they are the ones who ultimately determine what the odds are.CBT wrote:If you believe bookies listen to 'paper talk' then i suggest you stay away from any sort of gambling
Re: Dyche ------->Palace
I get your point and agree to an extent although I think its obvious there is something in the Dyche to Palace link just non of us know what it is or how likely it is to happen. Id guess Palace see Dyche as a candidate for the job alongside others. That's just my guess, I'm not going to guess how interested Dyche is or if he will go.Jakubclaret wrote:Precisely it's all newspaper talk dyche has done well this season palace are looking for a manager. Theory 1: It's the summer break so Palace are taking their time and are in no hurry to make an appointment.
Theory 2: Some of their preferred candidates are/have been on holiday and haven't yet been able to interview in person.
EVERYBODY PANIC!

Re: Dyche ------->Palace
No PANIC but when our manager is favourite across the board with all leading bookmakers to take over at Crystal Palace just a slight concern that he may be one of the leading candidates and that there is no smoke without fire.
The list of available managers is far from impressive and a suitable replacement for Sean Dyche (should he be tempted away) is hardly jumping off the page (screen).
