There are so many dodgy Twitter “sources” nowadays it makes politicians look like the epitome of truth and clarity.

However, much as I doubt the guy above who states a medical, not negotiations, tomorrow, I predict personal terms are already done and dusted. Nowadays that’s how it works unless one side pulls a fast one at the 11th hour. I also note Nixon’s above tweet.

We’ve been done before with a club coming in and snatching while a medical was imminent, so I’m not rejoicing yet, but Burnley could be a good step up for Cornet, a smaller club but a harder league, and the chance to really make a name for himself. Let’s not forget that even though he has a mate there, Hertha are in a similar position to us in the Bundesliga, and they rattle around the Olympiastadion, their new stadium won’t be built for years, the Turf could be more atmospheric. Due to Covid many clubs in the UK don’t have much dosh so somebody gazumping us with £15m isn’t likely.

So I’m (very cautiously) optimistic.
