Its come to summat when a noisy minority of key board Prime Ministers would sooner try and slag off their own governments reaction to an unprecedented global pandemic. Rather than admit that the speed and subsequent human and economic costs could have been far less damaging to the world. Had those responsible not lied , covered up and silenced anybody who wanted to warn others at it's very source !

See! Anyone can do the sad deluded paranoia riddled nonsense!
Anyway, back in the Real World a reality check for the noisy minority.
Data from a Survation poll showed that 74% of British adults believe “the Chinese government is to blame for allowing COVID-19 to spread”, while 19% said they do not believe it is to blame.
Of 1,001 adults polled on behalf of the Henry Jackson Society, a neoconservative think-tank, 83% said that the British government should demand an international inquiry into the response of the Chinese government to the COVID-19 crisis.
Last week a YouGov poll showed that a majority of Britons believe COVID-19 originated in a live animal market in China, and that such animal markets should be banned.

If some on here want to twist , when I refer to "The Chinese" , as meaning the Chinese People, rather than when I patently obviously meant the Chinese Government, and claim it to be "racist". Then it shows just how desperate some are to silence my opinion. Re: Covid-19
I suspect not. We will be getting to the stage then when it's costing more lives than it saves, if we haven't got there already. (It depends to some extent on the value of a life spent doing nothing, going nowhere, staring at the walls. If that life is scarcely of value, then we will be in negative. Every time an old person dies in lockdown - and that's 6,000 a week in normal circumstances, so it will be more in lockdown - then it is a life wasted.)conyoviejo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:47 pmIt will be at least the end of May before there is any chance of an easing of the lockdown.

Re: Covid-19
The reasons given for the lockdown were to slow the rate that the virus was spreading and to protect the NHS.
As things stand, with talk of the peak having been reached and reports that the 'new hospitals' are being under-used, why would there not be some relaxation?
I think the public would be entitled to ask that question

Each one you make just shows just how much you seem to resent that I happened to pick up on the clear lack of respect youd shown for those heroes that built the Nightingale hospitals. You're getting more and colourful with your increasingly aggressive language.

Re: Covid-19
As I've explained for what, probably five times now, I did indeed run two accounts on the Up the Trotters website, it was brilliant fun especially as the club at that time was imploding steadily. Adding to their misery was excellent. So why do you do it on here ?
I've never denied it and was rather proud of getting away with it. When they were relegated, I fessed up and only one of their lads admitted to having had any suspicions.
You do exactly the same on here, Ringo, and I'm not sure why. You reckon to be a Claret but, clearly, politics and your self-esteem seem to be more important. You have given the game away several times but blunder on, tediously, oblivious to the ridicule you invite.
Fair enough but remember when you start whining about bullying, being a victim, being silenced and so on, YOU are the one who picked up a ban.
What was it for again ?
Oh aye, making homophobic comments..................classy, huh ?
There's no need for every thread to descend into nonsense. Tony gave us the advice, please rein it in and stick to it.
Anyway, Ringo, don't take offence, I've no axe to grind, I'm just putting you straight.
Fwiw, I think the lad WOULD say it to your face. Why on earth wouldn't he ? Let's face it, your record of "hunting people down" is a bit feeble, is it not ?
That's all, I''ve done my bit and I hope you're OK with it.
Keep on topic, stay safe...

Hi Wrongo,RingoMcCartney wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:58 pmIf I've been "banned for racist comments including today" how am I able to make this post? If what you mean is there are a number of posters who want to silence opinions that are different to theirs. And they'll try and claim that when some says "the Chinese " obviously meaning the Chinese government/ the chinese communist party . But they want to portray that as me calling the Chinese People as a whole, then yes there are people willing to misrepresent it and make spurious claims of "racism"
If a poster has had posts removed, which you have today for racist remarks, you can be sure that it's because the post was indeed racist. It's insulting to the mods to suggest they are trying to silence you. They could only have looked at your comments through independent eyes and concluded they weren't acceptable. They are simply trying to make sure the integrity of this board is not brought down by the sorts of comments you made today.
Hope this clears things up for you Wrongo.

Now you are denying you have had racist posts removed or been banned for racism - laughable.RingoMcCartney wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 9:23 pmShow me a single example of racism in any of my posts. Go through every single one. You will not find a single genuine example.
Nobody's crying on my part TVCI5 I can assure you of that. You're the one displaying pent up anger in your posts
Each one you make just shows just how much you seem to resent that I happened to pick up on the clear lack of respect youd shown for those heroes that built the Nightingale hospitals. You're getting more and colourful with your increasingly aggressive language.
A frustrated bully , that I doubt very much would have quite as much courage If you had to say it to my face.
Oh and I would happily say it to your pathetic racist face - for now from 2 metres though
You stay safe though eh Nick, Tommy, Enoch

I didnt say " the mods to suggest they are trying to silence me" again misrepresenting my words. I said people like you want to silence me. To be fair to Tony he probably just wants what the rest of us want , which is as easy a life as is possible right now.ksrclaret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 9:26 pmHi Wrongo,

Obviously cant speak for Tony, but if it were me I'd I'd probably think , I cant be bothered with this crap, and remove the "offensive" post to keep the peace.
Re: Covid-19
What’s happened to this thread ?
Turned into a political bickering thread without any useful updates or opinions about covid-19

Hi uptheclarets,
You're on the wrong thread if you want useful updates and opinions about vivid-19. It is some sort of make-up product?

Good! Everybody's happy then!
Now going forward, if you dont want to engage in a discussion with me , fine. If you do, as long as it relevant and not simply playing the man not the ball I'll go along. If you just want to use foul and abusive language, and use direct personal abuse and derogatory remarks about me. Make no mistake I will now report you and whoever else does the same, to the moderators.

That’s the best I can do.
Hopefully one day I’ll get the chance to say it to your face as it will be especially pertinent
