I would like to suggest a new word for the Oxford English dictionary.
'Burnleyd'
Definition: Getting beaten by a technically inferior opponent
The Liverpool / Watford / Everton / Southampton etc managers could then say in their post match interview 'I think we have just been Burnleyd'

Good idea, except that we aren't technically inferior and in any case it would be 'Burnleyed'.

Don't let Sean Dyche know that you wrote that.
I'm sure there is a definition there, something along the lines of "well prepared, well drilled, exemplary fitness, never say die attitude, structured framework, impressive team work..."

Burnleyed actually means being beaten by a real team.

Yep, great idea.
Like the Rovers fans and their club have been "Venkyed"
