Re: Defoe
He's wasted in that team, you can't blame him for his agent trying to get him a move.
Absolutely dire, they would probably on zero points if they were relying on Borini and the rest.

Re: Defoe
Always surprised me that Utd never signed him, scores goals for fun. I bet Defoe converts one in three chances, Andy Cole needed 15 lol

Re: Defoe
I counted 3 touches including the kick off, crazy. The amount of through balls they tried to play which our centre halves mopped up on the halfway line in that second half was mad

Re: Defoe
Dyche has got a problem,he either drops Mee or he finds a system that gets tarks game time.DCWat wrote:Probably not the best match to judge them in but the only opportunity so far (?). How were Tarkowski and Keane as a partnership? One I've wanted to see for some time now.
I know Sunderland were poor, but the Keane and Tarkowski pairing are on the next level.
I love Ben Mee but, there's no room for sentiment, and Tarky is way to good to be on the bench.

Re: Defoe
Only once has Defoe scored more goals in a season then the 15 he got last time out and that was when he was at Portsmouth.
He usually averages about 10 give or take a couple.
That's probably why UTD never bothered rushing to sign him, when they had Rooney for example who out scored Defoe every season pretty much

Re: Defoe
Defoe never worked hard enough on the pitch to get a move to United under Fergie. One thing you could always see in a Ferguson team was desire and if that meant you ran the channels as a striker then that's what you did!

Re: Defoe
I think Defoe would be fantastic for us. He guarantee we scored enough goals to stay up, ensure a relegation spot was taken by Sunderland and what a mentor for Gray who is a very similar player. I'd break to bank and wage structure to get him in for the remainder of the season with the understanding he's got a move in the summer if wanted.

I think he's on around 70 grand a week so that's not going to happen.bf2k wrote:I think Defoe would be fantastic for us.
