Gates tonight
Hear Sunderland took 1500 or so, which all things considered is very good from them.
What did we take about?

Re: Gates tonight
You could only dream of the days you could get such attendances at home, even for a league game...
I'd be semi interested in your opinion if you bothered to go and watch your own team.....perhaps you popped down to the Turf to watch some decent football this evening? Did you enjoy?
I've a feeling we've got a convert here folks!

Re: Gates tonight
I know Ipswich are bad but there's no way they would recall him. Must be 60 at least?
Re: Gates tonight
Now there was a player. Used to love him back in Ipswich's heyday. A real looker as wellCharlieinNewMexico wrote:I know Ipswich are bad but there's no way they would recall him. Must be 60 at least?

Re: Gates tonight
Thought it was an excellent gate all things considered and atmosphere was very good. I was expecting around the 8k mark to be honest.

Re: Gates tonight
It was a decent gate tbh. So pleased I opted for the Cricket Field stand as the atmosphere was excellent. Great game for a cheeky tenner

Re: Gates tonight
The atmosphere would have been nothing if we didn't have the Cricketfield stand, it's great that we've opened it for our fans.ashtonlongsider wrote:Thought it was an excellent gate all things considered and atmosphere was very good. I was expecting around the 8k mark to be honest.

For comparison, let's have a look at some of Blackburn's Premier League level FA Cup home gates this century:Saxoman wrote:As a prem club in form, in a 20,000 seater? ARF ARF ARF ..
V Barnsley (2002 3rd round just after promotion)
Attendance: 10,203
V Cardiff (2005 3rd round when Mark Hughes was there)
Attendance: 9,140
V Colchester (2005 4th round)
Attendance: 10,634
V Sunderland (2009 4th round replay)
Attendance: 10,112

Re: Gates tonight
That's a decent attendance but the fanzone wasn't open and they sold out of programs, surely somebody didn't underestimate how many would turn up 'cause that's never happened before has it.

Think programmes were a quid maybe that's why they sold out

Probably all bought by the kids that wouldn't sit down for more than 5 minutes in the JML

Oh right....like that's never been posted on here before when this situation has occurred.Saxoman wrote:Sucker! You're my little toy and I'm playing with you.

Anyway, it was a decent gate last night, and I was surprised as I expected about 8-9,000.
