Barton is head and shoulders above Marney in terms of quality and I suspect we'll see more of him than Dean during the rest of the season.

Great to see Defour get another 90 under his belt. He looked OK for it as well. What a plus point it would be if he were able to complete 80+ every week.

We now have 4 very good cm specialists. Now that is progress.

Barton was simply Barton last night, although I thought that he tired towards the end. Defour is just class and Hendrick is showing signs of being an absolute steal. The guy simply bullied them last night, but with lots of skill.

Don't write Deano off just yet also.

We've got to remember just how poor Sunderland are though...Arsenal will be altogether different.

When Hendrick first came it appeared obvious as to why he wasn't a regular starter for Derby however, with each appearance for us it is becoming more and more of a puzzle. Perhaps not getting the best out of talented players is why they can't get promoted. Still, that's not out problem.

I like Scotty and don't mind him being number 5. That is actually a good option. As a number 2 it was a number 2.

Playing him centre back would be even worse than central midfield! ;)

A midfield three of Defour, Barton and Hendrick looks very good on paper, and very, very good on the pitch last night.

Though we have to be realisitic that they won't be playing against Sunderland every week, but its still something to think about as an option
