The fastest attacking players in the Prem
Not sure if this has been posted before but just seen that Andre Gray is among the fastest in the Premier League (for all the suggestions that he's not that quick).

Not true, it can't be. Our fitness experts spent the early part of this season saying he had lost his pace due to bulking up.

Top speed can be misleading, I'd rather see acceleration.
Plus, how can Shane Long be number one? Is he even fast?

All sorts of factors could be involved. Shane Long could have had a strong tailwind that sent him absolutely flying, for exampleClaretmatt4 wrote:Top speed can be misleading, I'd rather see acceleration.

This was on Sky sports news the other day - just as a comparison, Usain Bolt has been recorded at 27.8mph - Can he play on the wing ??

He has definitely picked it up since he came back into the side.

21.9mph for Long would put him 9th among NFL players this season. Even with their added weight in their pads.
Fastest is 22.5mph =0

Superbowl is coming up pretty soon isn't it? I managed to catch the game where the Seahawks lost out recently. Shame really as I was rooting for them (still struggle to understand half of it though!).Claretmatt4 wrote:21.9mph for Long would put him 9th among NFL players this season. I believe it's Sunday the 5th, the 'semi finals' are this weekend though.
Great sport if you have the patience to get into it but I understand why many don't.

Re: The fastest attacking players in the Prem
its because hearing english commentators saying "Dee-fence" is sickening.
Probably is a great sport, but uts one that appeals to London media types. Some kind of trendy thing. channel 4 did their best to hammer it home about what an exciting game it was. every now and then, they try again to popularise it.
It has no cultural root here, means nothing. same reason why "soccer " is regarded as crap by most americans.
