£175, 000 for a 13 year old.
Didn't know that you could pay a fee for an under 16.

Have we got our loan request ready for when he's a bit older?

I was wondering how that would work but I see from the article that his family have moved north with him. How on earth does all that work.

How much did we get for John Cofie, wasn't he a similar age? Or does compensation not count as a transfer fee?

I have an 11 year old who has quite a bit of talent, he's been selected for the York City elite group... I'll take 50K for him with addons.

I have a 7 year old nephew who's now on the books for Leeds United... I'll just take a transfer to another club on a free transfer.

That'll be a name that's never heard of again I bet.

Chelsea like to give backhanders to sign kids as young as 9 that are playing at other local academies and pre-academies. Here's £20k in cash to the parents if you move to us etc. You don't read about that in the papers...

Palace used to give free sofas and kitchens in the 80s to get kids to sign before 16

It's pennies for City though and there's a chance he could be worth tens of millions in 4 or 5 years' time.

And if he isn't they won't lose any sleep, I don't know what the fuss is about, it's not much of a gamble.
