How do I get on it or is the front cover telling porkies?

Are you serious MACCA?MACCA wrote:Great edit save there "for my lad"
Really don't understand having computer games at 18+, at 18 you're an adult and shouldn't be playing computer games.
Make them all child based and get these lazy teenagers and supposedly grown men off their arsed and into employment/something useful.

Nope absolutely not. If you enjoy them that's great for you.ClaretAndJew wrote:Video games are my hobby.
I've worked for 12 years, and I'm studying at uni alongside working.
Should I stop the video games?
Because I play video games and I don't agree with what you've said. At the end of the day, it's a hobby.MACCA wrote:Deadly serious ( no pun intended )
Why?
I know it'll never happen though as it's a multi billion pound business.
f******g QuickScoping - I hated that!Sidney1st wrote:I suspect Macca just sucks at online gaming and has rage quit after getting quick scoped....
If it was one of my lads, let me know and I'll give them a treat for doing it.
I think it really depends on the person at the end of the day. I've not been out of employment since I left home at 18 (even worked through uni) and I'm now self employed and work from home. I tend not to work more than 20-30 hours per week as I enjoy having free time.MACCA wrote:Great for those who use computer games as a hobby.
A lot of users are either kids/unemployed/lazy
It may just be an age thing, late developers perhaps, but would have thought when you get in full time employment, a family and have responsibility the last thing on your mind would be to play games. ( unless it's a hobby of course )
Or it may could just be me and the people I know who don't play games.
My mum is in her mid 50's and has had a proper interest in games since Final Fantasy appeared on the PS1 in the 90's.MACCA wrote:Great for those who use computer games as a hobby.

Cheers Sidney I found it through that site. Went on private game and had a choice of every map.Sidney1st wrote:Have a look -

Not fishing.BigChaCha wrote:Obviously fishing or a bit thick!
You've got enough spare time to be constantly spouting shite on here though.MACCA wrote:Possibly not the brightest idea trying to get my opinion across on gaming on a gaming thread.
I'm sure people who don't wont have even bothered to open the post, hence the reason I'm the only none gamer.
I didn't say I'd never been on a computer. I had the first ever playstation, got it "chipped" and everything.
I just got to 14, and got bored I guess.
Never touched one since except for the 10 year old giving me the odd beating at Fifa on his Xbox, but I kid you not he has played possibly a dozen games maximum since he got it at Xmas. I think he's like me, and prefers outdoors and problem solving as he's a great all round sports lad, and loves building Lego.
I'm in bed for 22:00 latest Sidney as I'm up early for work, I do 52 hours a week, own my own business and have 2 kids, I don't think I have even a spare hour to play a game. Burnley is about my only full time hobby, and even I cant do that as much now due to other commitments/responsibilities.
Battlefield 1 would suit you, it does me.Croydon Claret wrote:Used to love the COD series but gave up on them after Black Ops. Can't be doing with all that sci fi nonsense and weird and wonderful machines flying about
Guess that's where the generation gap comes in. The kids love it and they're the main market so it sells well.
Do you have a head set too Geoff and talk to kids from all across the world?Geoff wrote:You've got enough spare time to be constantly spouting shite on here though.
I'm not if I try and play allnight and go to work afterwards, it's harder then it used to be when I was in my 20'sMACCA wrote:You're a machine Sidney, a machine!!!
Done it with World Of Warcraft, it's enjoyable with the proper dungeons and groups.IndigoLake wrote: Some video games can be quite addictive and you hear stories of kids in South Korea who play for 12 hours on end. Madness! But fun, I'm sure.
I used to leave work at 17:00, gym, pub for 6 pints and 10 fags. In for midnight. Up at 6:00 and repeat all midweek.Sidney1st wrote:I'm not if I try and play allnight and go to work afterwards, it's harder then it used to be when I was in my 20's
Anything less than 4 hours a night in the week and I'm a bit of a mess, I catch up with it at the weekends dependant on my daughter sleeping properly.MACCA wrote:I used to leave work at 17:00, gym, pub for 6 pints and 10 fags. In for midnight. Up at 6:00 and repeat all midweek.
Cannot do that now. Think you hit "the age" and your body and mind cannot function without a cetrain amount of sleep or rest
I used to, but I got out of the habit in my 20's when I was working 2 jobs.MACCA wrote:Wow. I need 8 hours...
Black Ops 2 was the last good one for me.quoonbeatz wrote:the first modern warfare was brilliant. second wasn't bad either but the rest are pap.
I prefer the outdoors and playing sports, but play many hours on my Xbox too. The two are not exclusive of each other.MACCA wrote:Never touched one since except for the 10 year old giving me the odd beating at Fifa on his Xbox, but I kid you not he has played possibly a dozen games maximum since he got it at Xmas. I don't think anyone enjoys it, which is why the sales have plummeted. The Modern Warfare remastered is the only reason I spent £80 on Infinite Warfare as it came in a bundle. I would guess a lot of other people bought for the same reason.Croydon Claret wrote:Used to love the COD series but gave up on them after Black Ops. The maps are huge on Battlefield though, doesn't really compare with the action of CoD (without the jetpacks)Sidney1st wrote:Battlefield 1 would suit you, it does me.
I've heard a rumour the new COD is set in Vietnam
I have that but not tried it yet so good to know it's up my street. Much prefer the simpler WW2 style games.Sidney1st wrote:Battlefield 1 would suit you, it does me.

When I upgrade my weapons I expect a better class of rifle, not a bloomin space ship
Shows how much attention I've been payingSidney1st wrote:It's WW1and I find it brutal, but head shotting someone with a very basic sniper rifle is far more satisfying then the last few games on COD.
As KRBFC has said, the maps are huge, but personally I find it more enjoyable, although i'm struggling a bit with the flying side of it.
Didn't know sales had dropped off for COD. Looks like even the kids have seen senseKRBFC wrote:I don't think anyone enjoys it, which is why the sales have plummeted. Sniping on Battlefield is satisfying, I always struggle with the bullet drop though.Sidney1st wrote:It's WW1and I find it brutal, but head shotting someone with a very basic sniper rifle is far more satisfying then the last few games on COD.
