I recently purchased the new Call of Duty Infinite Warfare game for the PlayStation 4 for my lad and have a problem. I got it as on the front cover it says 'Terminal' bonus map included but I can't seem to get on it. I entered the redeem code in the pack and when I click on play remastered it says I have to upgrade to the legacy edition for £24.99.

How do I get on it or is the front cover telling porkies?

Really don't understand having computer games at 18+, at 18 you're an adult and shouldn't be playing computer games.

Make them all child based and get these lazy teenagers and supposedly grown men off their arsed and into employment/something useful.

I've worked for 12 years, and I'm studying at uni alongside working.

Because I play video games and I don't agree with what you've said. At the end of the day, it's a hobby.

Sure, there are some people who play too much when they could be finding work or whatever but you've made a massive generalisation.

I'm a huge video game fan although now I prefer the collecting side rather than actually playing.

A lot of users are either kids/unemployed/lazy

It may just be an age thing, late developers perhaps, but would have thought when you get in full time employment, a family and have responsibility the last thing on your mind would be to play games. ( unless it's a hobby of course )
Or it may could just be me and the people I know who don't play games.

I think it really depends on the person at the end of the day. I've not been out of employment since I left home at 18 (even worked through uni) and I'm now self employed and work from home. I tend not to work more than 20-30 hours per week as I enjoy having free time.

It certainly does become more difficult to play when working full time with kids etc but not impossible I guess. I don't have kids so only speculating. Even the busiest person in the world can surely manage the odd hour here and then. If there's time for watching a football match or a film, there's time to play a video game.

It's just about where you draw the line. Some video games can be quite addictive and you hear stories of kids in South Korea who play for 12 hours on end. Madness! But fun, I'm sure.

My mum is in her mid 50's and has had a proper interest in games since Final Fantasy appeared on the PS1 in the 90's.

During that time she also managed to be in charge of the fraud department for Vodafone, then Senior Call centre manager for Vodafone, retrain and become a 6th sigma black belt for them too, retire early and has retrained as a pharmacy assistant in superdrug.
She's currently the proud owner of a PS4 which she plays on a lot and is thinking about an Xbox one, but also trying to work out how to sneak it into the house without her husband spotting it.
This also earns her extra cool points with her grandsons, who are quite chuffed to have a gaming granny.

Its more likely to be you and people you know then anything wrong with us.

I've got 3 kids (although only 1 lives with me), work full time but I still like to play on the PS4.
I usually get on it when she goes to bed about 10pm and play until about 1am, although sometimes it's later.
Quick tip , when the missus states that you said you wouldn't be on there alnight at 2am, telling her it hasn't been alnight yet isn't a wise move it turns out....

Cheers Sidney I found it through that site. Went on private game and had a choice of every map.

I do like the odd game Macca and was looking forward to seeing how they had re-done the Terminal but they have gone way to futuristic in the latest modern warfares.

Possibly not the brightest idea trying to get my opinion across on gaming on a gaming thread.

I'm sure people who don't wont have even bothered to open the post, hence the reason I'm the only none gamer.

I didn't say I'd never been on a computer. I had the first ever playstation, got it "chipped" and everything.

I just got to 14, and got bored I guess.

Never touched one since except for the 10 year old giving me the odd beating at Fifa on his Xbox, but I kid you not he has played possibly a dozen games maximum since he got it at Xmas. I think he's like me, and prefers outdoors and problem solving as he's a great all round sports lad, and loves building Lego.

I'm in bed for 22:00 latest Sidney as I'm up early for work, I do 52 hours a week, own my own business and have 2 kids, I don't think I have even a spare hour to play a game. Burnley is about my only full time hobby, and even I cant do that as much now due to other commitments/responsibilities.

I'm 42 and play a lot of PC games. In fact I run 3 companies so wish I had more time for gaming

I can only speak for PC gamers as I never really play consoles but here are some facts -

Fact 1 - The average age for PC gamers is 38 years old
Fact 2 - On average PC gamers are far more affluent compared to the average Joe. PC gamers are on well over 50k pa on average so hardly lazy!
Fact 3 - Just as many females play as males!

Gaming is one if not THE biggest hobbies in the world.
Without the gaming industry a lot of countries economies would be in big trouble! The money made from gaming industry is absolutely massive!

I go to a lot of gaming conventions and I have to say the gaming community are a fantastic bunch. Out of all the people I meet, I would say they are some of the most intelligent, friendly and polite people I have ever met!

Guess that's where the generation gap comes in. The kids love it and they're the main market so it sells well.

I get up at half 5 every week day for work, regardless of how much sleep I get.

I used to leave work at 17:00, gym, pub for 6 pints and 10 fags. In for midnight. Up at 6:00 and repeat all midweek.

Anything less than 4 hours a night in the week and I'm a bit of a mess, I catch up with it at the weekends dependant on my daughter sleeping properly.

I used to, but I got out of the habit in my 20's when I was working 2 jobs.

It's just a case of playing with the body clock, but it probably helps that I don't have a physically demanding job anymore and my daughter has generally been quite a good sleeper since she was born.
I don't often have to get up for her.

Black Ops 2 was the last good one for me.

I've tried the others, apart from Infinite, but I've gone to Battlefield 1 because it's just simple aim and shoot with no daft wall walking/ boost jumping stuff

I prefer the outdoors and playing sports, but play many hours on my Xbox too. The two are not exclusive of each other.

I don't think anyone enjoys it, which is why the sales have plummeted. The Modern Warfare remastered is the only reason I spent £80 on Infinite Warfare as it came in a bundle. I would guess a lot of other people bought for the same reason.

I have that but not tried it yet so good to know it's up my street. Much prefer the simpler WW2 style games.

It's WW1

and I find it brutal, but head shotting someone with a very basic sniper rifle is far more satisfying then the last few games on COD.

As KRBFC has said, the maps are huge, but personally I find it more enjoyable, although i'm struggling a bit with the flying side of it.

Shows how much attention I've been paying

Ww1 is also good.

I've flown various real planes so hopefully the flying aspect is manageable or I'll burn my log book

Sniping on Battlefield is satisfying, I always struggle with the bullet drop though.

Bit of a dilemma, here. I really like the look of Overwatch but I'm worried that when I run it past MACCA, he'll tell me I'm not allowed to play. Don't want to waste my money, like.
