Is it like shelling peas, CT, or were they 3 quick breakaway goals? :)

Really good performance - and without Clarke, Younger, Howarth and Chakwana.

Bloody cold though.

Good to get another win to complete a double over Carlisle. This is now 7 league games without defeat, winning 5 and drawing 2. Also pleasing to note that we have scored 16 and conceded 6 in those games.
A great improvement on last year, long may it continue.

It is a great improvement which starts from the fact that they are playing like a team now. Some of that is obviously down to the fact that they've got a coach now which was missing for much of last season. Also partly due to the lads themselves probably being a better group.

Some really good stuff played this morning and with players left out for the u23 game on Monday too. Could so easily have been an even bigger win in terms of the scoreline.

How are carlisle ranked versus norwich. Went to the norwich game and it was like men vs boys at time. We had some hard working players but nobody truly stood out for us. 9 and 11 looked good but norwich were another class.

Norwich have a Cat 1 academy and are one of the best youth operations in the country. They'd beaten Watford 5-1 in the previous round and are the only club, other than Chelsea, to win the FA Youth Cup in the last four years. That game was always going to be a difficult one for us. I wasn't there but was told by some who were that the scoreline didn't reflect our performance.

Carlisle, like us, are Cat 3. They've been good at this level over the years but are struggling a bit now. We were far too good for them this morning despite having a number of players missing.

Thanks. Sounds about right then as norwich were much better. Both physically and as a team. We were ok in that game. Quite quick on the counter and could have took the lead. But on balance they were much better.
