Re: MOTD
Looked a nasty injury to Brightons keeper, could that have an effect on their title push?

Re: MOTD
I know this is sexist but I just can't stand female commentators. The one doing the Palace v City game is grating on me. No need for it, just the beeb being PC.

I have no problem with female officials, they can't be much worse than their male counterparts, but I just don't like the tone of the voice for commentary.

Phew I thought it was just me, so good others are thinking the same - that woman commentator was dreadful on the Palace v City game! Had to mute the sound until it had finished!

Re: MOTD
The FA Cup has become a poor trophy like the Worthington Cup/Carling Cup or w/e it's called these days.
It's not only the top tier PL teams playing weakened teams even the Championship clubs are at it. Bristol City away at a PL club and they make a **** ton of changes, Liverpool's only chance at a trophy and they play a U21 team.

Re: MOTD
Sky have some really great female reporters from pitch side. (Bianca Westward as mentioned above is superb)
They need to do a Maggie Thatcher and alter the voice so it's not as strident.
Mind you I think women are far better war reporters than men.

I have no idea whether it was or not. I was a student at the time and she gave some great answers.Blackrod wrote:I doubt it was a pleasure for Kate Adie.
Care to elaborate on your comment?

She sounds like she's in one of those competitions where you are asked to commentate over a recording of a gamewelsbyswife wrote:I know this is sexist but I just can't stand female commentators. The one doing the Palace v City game is grating on me. No need for it, just the beeb being PC.

I was amusing myself given what I perceived to be you being a little thin skinned with regard to the Kate Adie comment. That's the problem with working two dimensionally.IndigoLake wrote:Sorry, but what has sun lotion got to do with this thread?

If someone makes an odd comment that I don't understand then I'll likely respond and ask them to elaborate. If you look at my comment, that's all I did. If that's thin-skinned then that's exactly what I amCorky wrote:I was amusing myself given what I perceived to be you being a little thin skinned with regard to the Kate Adie comment. Ah yes, I saw a feature about her. Claire Hollingworth. She lived to be over 100 which is impressive in itself.Caernarfon_Claret wrote:Yes superb and there was a Journalist just died recently who broke the news about WWII starting (invasion of Poland) She was regarded as being one of the best.
