Football managers wearing shorts

Post by john'sroseyspecs » Sun Jan 29, 2017 4:16 pm

Watching Manu v Wigan. Noticed Warren Joyce has donned the shorts and socks. Never understood this. Do they think they might get on the pitch in an emergency situation? Can only think of one manager from recent times who did this and he didn't prosper....

Think Colin was also a leading practitioner of this once.

Not a good look.

I think if Dyche did it, it would certainly have the opposition strikers worried that he was going to bring himself on to sort them out.

Dyche vs Costa would certainly be interesting.

Coyle actually got himself on the pitch, didn't he come out of retirement to play for the reserves and scored?

I'm sure I remember BFS wearing shorts at some point. Or I might have been hallucinating an elephant in a tutu.

Vic Akers, kit man at Arsenal, always wears shorts whatever the conditions even when his boss is pushing officials in his big coat.

Remember coyle in white shorts at Burnley.. I thought what a tosser.. And still do..

Think Moyes used to warm up his teams on the pitch before games in full training kit..
