3-0 away at Brentford
37% possession with new signings Hourihane and Lansbury playing.
They probably could have done with a sideways and backwards sh1te Westwood in there.

Fortunately we've rescued him. I think he's going to be a good player for us.

Don't be silly - Westwood is rubbish.
Villa fans said so.
So is Barton cos' Rangers fams said it.
So is Hendrick cos' Derby fans said it.
So is Mee cos' City thought so.
And Keane cos' United thought so.
Oh, and Arfield....Wards past it...
And most of our team.
Dyche hasn't a clue either or Watford wouldn't have let him go...

The last one is the most crucial one. Lose him and those players under a new manager could revert back to type. At rovers players that were top 10 material under Sam quickly became relegation fodder under Kean.

Of course our chairman and board are going to get shut of a manager and get someone to take over who used to hand the bibs out in training.

Went to pot massively under Ince for me - he was like a god at Wimbledon and the players would have done anything he said just because of his playing CV.
He went to your lot and they just didnt buy into his credentials as he wasn't anything special to some of the players you had back then....
As you say, once you lose that influence - it will be very hard to get it back and have that band of brothers feel to a team with a managerial father figure which all good/great teams have had through history.

This "sideways" tag is stupid.
Just look at the youtube footage of him. He nearly always passes forwards and has a great range of passes on him with a remarkable pass completion record.
One thing he doesn't do often is run forward with the ball but he has the ability to complement Barton, Hendrick or Defour in our midfield.
First he'll have to prove his fitness and justify a place in the team but he is a player of undoubted ability amongst those who understand football.
If anyone wants to know how bright Villa fans are then remember this - they were so happy with their new manager when we last played (and beat them) that they had printed masks of his likeness.
I wonder where all those Tim Sherwood masks are now?

As I said earlier, don't think dyche is going anywhere for a while yet anyway, as long as the board continue to back him.

Bit awkward for Hogan joining a team that just got thumped 3-0 from your old one.

Makes sense. They all looked like pricks wearing them anyway.

Lansbury, Hogan , Hourihane.... Villa have got the makings of a solid mid-table championship side there.

Don't be silly. They've made some good signings and have a great team on paper.
Just a pity the pitch is grass and not paper

Yeah that made me actually laugh out loud on the train, I tried to disguise it as a cough but to no avail.

It's getting quite hilarious now.
Come back Mr Westwood, all is forgiven.

But how is this happening? They have the mercurial Henri Lansbury running the midfield.

It's because they can't handle being amongst the highest paid players in the League according to Bruce.
They have also spent £77m.
The 'New' Derby County?

Villa have lots of talent but zero spirit. It gets you by in the PL for a while (see Newcastle, Sunderland) but eventually is your undoing.
It's very difficult to buy your way out of the championship. You have to fight your way out. Do Villa have any fighters left now we've taken Lowton and Westwood?

There is only one Derby County, and only one team that plays the "Derby Way" with such hilarious regularity.

WOW. What went wrong there?
Not won a match this year.
Has Bruce put some noses out of joint with all his purchases?
