Niang should have seen red.

I can only judge on what I saw at the time when I thought he got the big decisions right.

It is reassuring to see that many posters on this board are balanced and fair with few disagreeing with the Hendrick sending off and giving referee Oliver high marks ( so far?)

You can only mark on what you see. The early yellow was a long way from us but I thought the Hendrick one was going to be red. It must have been given Sean Dyche has accepted it.

Would he have booked their player after the 2nd goal if he hadn't booked him earlier?

That's a good question and one we don't know the answer too - but, in the end, it was my only complaint about him. I've seen the Hendrick incident since and he's got that absolutely right.

Seems to have regressed to rushing the big decisions like he used to. Hendrick's challenge is a a bit overzealous but not malicious; it's a yellow at worst. Same as their lad clattering Ward super late; if Hendrick goes, he has to go for that

Sorry quoon, I have to disagree. Hendrick's challenge, although not malicious, was definitely a red card in the modern era. His stoods were up and he completely missed the ball and hit their player on the shin causing a nasty gash. The foul on Ward was definitely a yellow but the studs were not up and that is what saved him from a red.
NIang did not commit any cautionable offence as far as TLOG are concerned by going to the crowd because he did not climb onto the barriers.

Hendrick's challenge was clumsy but come on, it's a red all day long. Just disappointed it's a three game ban. Thankfully, one of those games will be a cup tie.
Against Lincoln, we're going to be without:
Hendrick
Marney
Defour
Brady
And possibly Barton
