Just out of interest Tony, do you check the match thread to get the reaction of those on there that have the benefit of watching television? We all had a clear reaction to the correctness of the decision, that those at the ground wouldn't necessarily have in real time, and at a distance from the incident?

No, but always watch the television coverage myself before reporting.NRC wrote:Just out of interest Tony, do you check the match thread to get the reaction of those on there that have the benefit of watching television? Good Report CT.
I have to say it was disappointing the way we conceded the first. I expected Lowton to at least make some sort of challenge on Deeney.

In real time at the game I was sure Hendrick had stayed on his feet and that it was a one footed miss the ball catch the man booking.
My mate immediately text'd me that it was a red.
My mind with the help of Guinness would not have it.
At half time everyone said that they'd been told it was a red.
I then sensed a conspiracy and eyed those around me with suspicion.
I got home and watched match of the day
Have to be honest
Never touched him! Diving *******! Booooooo!
Claret tinted glasses still intact....

Lowton ducked as if he didn't know that Deeney was there!beddie wrote:Good Report CT.

Re: REPORT: More travel sickness for Clarets
The Niang tackle on Ward in first minute was also a straight red imo. Maybe like Watford our players need to start rolling around for 10 minutes after tackles. Had Ward reacted like the Watford player did after Hendricks tackle then Niang would have also seen red. On such decisions are games won or lost and relegations decided.
I am also surprised that more was not made of a clear penalty on Barnes when he was blocked by an arm when through on goal.

No way was the Niang one a red card - not even gone in with his feet. If you start giving reds for those you will finish with five a side.FCBurnley wrote:The Niang tackle on Ward in first minute was also a straight red imo. If Ward had collapsed in a heap the ref would have shown red. You dont need feet to seriously injure an opponent. How injured was Cholobas after his theatrics ?ClaretTony wrote:No way was the Niang one a red card - not even gone in with his feet. Ward was down in a heap but it's only just about a yellow. Holebas has blood on shin, no intent to injure by Hendrick but a clear red card. Both decisions from Oliver absolutely spot on.FCBurnley wrote:If Ward had collapsed in a heap the ref would have shown red. You dont need feet to seriously injure an opponent.
