Re: Defour injury
I heard 2-3 weeks, but these hamstring injuries could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months these days1914tyrone wrote:Any news on how long??

Re: Defour injury
Dyche said it wasn't a bad one but would be more than two weeks
Re: Defour injury
Outside chance he could be back for Hull then.

Re: Defour injury
That's probably the target game. Even as a sub would be a big plus.Walt wrote:Outside chance he could be back for Hull then.
Re: Defour injury
Think he's due to be fit just before the Chinese transfer window closes on 28th February.

Re: Defour injury
Could do with him back for the weekend, what with suspensions and illegibility.

Re: Defour injury
No chance he has gone back to Belgium for treatment.
Re: Defour injury
Would be crazy IMO to risk playing him in the Cup this weekend as we have enough players to put out a mixture of first teamers and squad players to enable us to beat Lincoln.karatekid wrote:Could do with him back for the weekend, what with suspensions and illegibility.

Re: Defour injury
We have 15 outfield players 3 goalies 3 injured 1 suspended and 1 cup tied. So I'd expect at least 2 kids on the bench and a very strong eleven playing.mkmel wrote:Would be crazy IMO to risk playing him in the Cup this weekend as we have enough players to put out a mixture of first teamers and squad players to enable us to beat Lincoln.

Without any 'insider' knowledge at all I believe I can safely say that the chance of Defour playing on Saturday is 0%.

Re: Defour injury
Dependent on what happens with Joey I don't see Defour getting much game time if I'm honest. Dunno what it is, we all know he's a really good player, but something doesn't seem to fit

Re: Defour injury
He's definitely our most talented midfielder, but Dyche doesn't rate him in a 4 man midfield which makes me think we won't see much more of him. Sadly.
Re: Defour injury
15 plus 2 keepers means 1 kid doesn't it in the 18. Likely Tom missing from the 3 keepers and then the rest as per the 17 available plus one other unless Sean leaves more of the first team squad out.RocketLawnChair wrote:We have 15 outfield players 3 goalies 3 injured 1 suspended and 1 cup tied. Re: Defour injury
He's injured. Of course we will see more of him. It's about having options. More drama queenery.

Re: Defour injury
When fit he's started, sometimes he's been plonked on the bench in certain away fixtures as he's maybe been seen as a bit of a luxury by Dyche.
Defours Burnley career has been a bit stop/start but I think Dyche rates him highly or he wouldn't have pursued and signed him.

Re: Defour injury
Even if he was recovered I wouldn't have expected him to play against Lincoln. I think we would have given him the extra week whatever.
