We have a 10 point lead over Hull who are in 18th place and an 11 point lead over the bottom 2, Hull have 20 points from 25 games which is an average of 0.8 pts per game. If they continue at the same average through 38 games they will end the season on 30/31 points. No doubt they will improve as the bottom teams often do when facing the drop. I am not saying we are anyway near safe but we are in a way better position than any of us could ever have dreamed of ( Except Sean Dyche of course )

Hopefully, it shouldn't be long before we are in a position to watch the shenanigans at the bottom knowing it can't affect us, a bit like last season watching the playoffs having already been promoted.

10 points is a massive gap (despite someone saying recently that it isn't) and clearly we still have much to do, but it would have to be a catastrophic turn of form for us to go down from this point
