Daish is one of the 2 best managers in the PL, the other must surely be Dyche! :D

Loved the way the Mexican bandit-looking Daego Costa was tamed by the Gringos, then had a reet good cry. Tee hee, soft Metro barstewards. The manager sounded like Jimmy Greaves 50 years ago - didn't want to know once they came over 't hill.

Spot on,CT re; Joey Barton's shouting and cajoling. Very impressive since he came back. Always on their case, making sure the ref is aware what's going on and I think Costa took a step back after the advice he received. I wondered before the free kick what sort of conversation was taking place between Barton and Brady. Amazed when Brady took it.

I thought the ref fancied it himself, he took an age to move away. :? It ended well enough though.

Only spotted it when I saw it back on TV. He sorted out the wall, stepped back, spoke to someone on end of the wall and then blew for it to be taken meaning Brady couldn't take it. Obviously he had a word with the ref who then stepped back.

I think the ref just wanted a good view of it. It was obvious that Brady was about to stick it in the onion bag.

Spot on report.

Was a performance that 1 point wasn't a fair return on the commitment and energy, a 2 pointer :)

I think CT was a schoolteacher in former life like many other scribes on here including davet, match reporter and pubgrub correspondent.

I think jdrobbo was closer with the sewage technician, and old eli story.

My old English teacher would be amazed that anyone would even consider reading anything I'd written. I was a mathematician at school, my much preferred subject. And I can still count.

Soft gits!

At Arsenal the home bench has a heated floor - they don't need blankets

First time in 4 years they have conceeded to a direct free kick. I notice Courtois claimed he got a finger tip to the ball, mmmm maybe in his nightmares afterwards unless he meant while picking the ball out of the net.

I was amazed when I heard him say that he'd got any sort of touch

Watching on the cam from behind the goal he doesn't appear to get anywhere close to it

My impression from the camera at the JM end was that Courtois got a finger end on it - there's a tiny deflection on the ball.

A fantastic afternoon on Turf Moor.
We have now the strongest squad we have had for a very long time (ever?) and the opposition are walking the Premier League..we matched them.
Great support from the 'terraces'..
Great goal and all new signings bedding in well..plenty of options in midfield..

Our home record is quite amazing..to be continued..

- and the media..TV radio and telly being very supportive of what we are doing..
Good times no doubt about that.

- and a well written report as well.
