Valentines day

Post by Sutton-Claret » Tue Feb 14, 2017 9:22 am

Today is Valentines day, what did everybody give / receive?

I gave - 3 bunches of Tulips I picked up from the Co-op last night (£3 per bunch) and a card
I received - Nothing (however I did leave the house before she woke up)

Gave nothing, getting nothing.

Thankfully Miss Sid was as rubbish as me this year, so I think we're going out this weekend to make up for it if we can find someone to look after our daughter.

Hallmark holiday for us all to ejaculate our wages on.

I always find it a strange concept, along with other gift giving celebrations, that you don't "love" someone or whatever if you don't buy them something. A disgusting part of the capitalist regime in which we live.

I purchased a bag of self raising and a bag of plain and placed both in a gift bag, left said gift bag on the table when I left for work this morning at 7:30...

She said she only wanted flowers, send out a search party if I am not reporting in later today :)

Well, Valentines day has been completely overshadowed in our house by the fact that Son No 2 popped out in this day eight years ago.

We tend to spend it chasing after him

Expensive looking fish and chips, never could work out why some places provide a side salad instead of an extra bowl of chips.
As for me, it's not fair on my other halfs husband if I send her cards and flowers
Did book us a holiday though.

You'll get fat eating that lot. Far too much salad.

Never done Valentine's Day. Always funny seeing the restaurants with all tables for 2. Ideal night to go out for a curry in a noisy big group.

However Decided this year to book a table for 2 for the wife and me.

And now she's ****** off cos I booked American pool and not English pool at the local Rileys Sports Bar...
