Quiz question thread
Quiz question thread
... Well folks, some say life's a journey and on that journey folk do stuff like message-boards to amuse themselves to pass the time, you know, so I got to thinking of starting a quiz question thread. Now the thread only goes on as long as folk want to play quiz, so let's see as I start the quiz off. Feel free to post questions and answers, but I'm only managing the first question. It may also be the last, that's up to you. Are you ready? Then here's question number one:
What make of radio did Lady Penelope have in Fab 1?

Re: Quiz question thread
OK, let's take an educated guess...
Product placement was illegal in the UK until very recently and the series was produced by Gerry Anderson. I'd guess that, as he was aiming for an American market, it would be an American company who were very active in their marketing strategy at the time. That rules out the most consistent product placer of recent times (Sony) because they're Japanese.
The two American electrical firms that Google provides me with are RCA and General Electric.
The only other that springs to mind is Bush.
Three guesses may be cheating but

Re: Quiz question thread
Coyote, you've given an answer before the question. That's not quite how quizzing works.

Re: Quiz question thread
Yes Summit, you got it right.
Well, Coyote THAT COULD HAVE BEEN THE NEXT QUIZ QUESTION, ged it? Otherwise the thread will die, if no more questions are asked.

Re: Quiz question thread
The car was a Rolls Royce but I'm surprised the radio wasn't some creation or modification by Brains.
Re: Quiz question thread
In O' level maths you get marks for your logic of working it out, if not the actual right answer. So Rowls, you got the idea of waht it was, but you didn't think of the right answer. Hipper, hey often used film of real hands (I'm sure you can remember), so they had a real radio with which to twiddle. There may also be a watch question in there somewhere, but I never was that good on Screen Test, so I didn't notice. The idea of brains doing something creative in that department, might have inspired Joe 90.
