CS Spray alternatives

I've seen Farb spray on amazon and it looks OK but very ineffective at actually disabling someone.

Should I try and find some CS spray online (i know so don't bother saying it) or mix my own pepper joose?

Failing that, do you have any other home security ideas? (Baseball bat or knife... I don't think so, mainly cos I need a few dotted around the house in different locations).

Golf clubs? You can have 14 of them. Just collect them together before the police arrive. And hope the burglar arrives in the room with the driver, not the sand wedge!
