Re: Carnage @ Deadwood
21k tickets have been sold according to the telegraph twitter but I'm not sure if that includes the 7k United have sold.
I thought they would sell out against their rivals but it looks like the boycott is real.

Old Bill expecting a gate of 25000
There is no boycott -they only reason they don't trap is apathy

They only go to watch the big teams, that's why don't go on now. They're not really rovers supporters, never were.

When it boils down to it, if they were to go through the times we had in the 80s, they would be down to 3-4000. Still a lot of them on their high horses (pun intended) with what happened in the 90s. A spell akin to the one both ourselves and Preston had may ground one or two of them and give them a slap of reality.

We refuse to give any of our money to Venkys and voting with our feet, however after a quick members meeting we have decided with a heavy heart that the boycott has been suspended until the Derby home game.
We will also not be travelling to the following away games
Norwich
Fulham
Brighton
Reading
Nottingham *
Wolverhampton *
Or
Brentford *
As we won't be giving Venkys another penny of our hard earned cash.
*please note we might Change our minds regarding these fixtures depending if we need a result.

Re: Carnage @ Deadwood
Is it a game they would want to win? Getting towards what is commonly referred to as the 'business part of the season now and even today once the FA Cuo reaches QF stage it must be a distraction that teams could well do without. Wolves had a great win over Liverpool in the last round and possibly saw it as a springboard to a late charge towards the play offs. A tie v Chelsea and then 3 defeats must have dampened enthusiasm. I still maintain next weeks game v Hull is more important than tomorrow. Think Blackburn play Wigan and Burton soon and I can only guess that they would prefer wins against them rather than this weekend.

I'd like to see them win this.
Though expect they'll be hammered.

Surely a win for them would keep OC at the helm to complete their charge towards league 1. the expected gate proves that its not really Venkys they have a problem with its the lack of top flight football and these big games.

Re: Carnage @ Deadwood
A Rovers win will offer an easier tie for us than United if we progress and draw them but I would rather they got stuffed.
As long as it's not a replay as that will take a bit of pressure off Rovers financially.

Helps keep the highly unlikely dream alive.Winstonswhite wrote:Why?
We go 'toe to toe' with Judas, beat Bury's record, scoring 7 against them in a Wembley final.
Not long after they've been relegated.
Sound good?
