Internet Help

Post by Mildred » Sat Feb 18, 2017 9:52 am

I'm soon to be moving temporarily for a couple of months to a property with no access to a phone line or cable.
I've been looking at Mobile wifi to keep me connected and stream abit of tv. Does anyone have any experience of these type of plans. The more I read the more confused I get. 4g mobile wifi, data dongles, mifi etc.
I've seen a mobile wifi plan with Vodafone 30 days rolling contract £25 for 50gb. I will be in a good 4g area.
So can anyone give any advice or is there another way round my dilemma. Oh I am in Lancashire :)

Have a look at giff gaff deals
If you can get a good signal for O2 then they do "unlimited" data for about 20 quid.
Then use your phone as a mobile hotpot. That way you can use your laptop, tablet or even your pc on the net as you wish.

Never had a problem with it, in fact I think they were even promoting it a while ago. Saying that though things are always changing.

Three network, PAYG.
Buy the £25 add-on, lasts 30 days. Unlimited data. Use your phone to create a 'hotspot' and use with tab/smart TV?
I do it all the time when out.

Have a look for a BT FON before you commit to anything.

You could piggyback on a neighbours connection for a while - if you don't have BT, you surely must know someone who's username/password you can use?
