I'm not usually one to have a go at the officials ;) but upon checking my points, there does seem to be a discrepancy in my awarded points from the recent game.

I would very much appreciate if my scores could be double checked. It may only be a few points that I have been diddled out of,but come the end of the season even a point could be the difference of winning the league and cup double.

Just to add; I have no problem with the scores of that 'cheating Buxton Bomber'

:P

You'll need them. After the disappointment of my FA Cup semi final loss I'm coming for you in the league. Two direct hits could do it, think Buxton is looking good though.

I have had a quick look back and you scored 1, 1, and 1 from yesterday

Last week, you scored 1, 4 and 6

The previous week, it was again 1, 4 and 6

ALL of these points have been added.

If you can tell me which game was incorrect, I will wake Spot up and get him to look back even further but, he was in a bad mood last night after watching Match of the Day !

Previous weeks positions BUT, they are not exact as we had a slight problem with the spreadsheet - it wouldn't allow us to add a column. This was reported at the time. Hope this helps :)

Like Firthy says, a couple of Direct Hits can do it !

I thought I should have been awarded 3 points for the 2nd image from the recent game.

Ok Ralph no probs.Sorry to have questioned you.

Is there any chance of posting that scoring grid again please ?

The scoring grid is particular to each image. Usually, it is simple. When we have a Direct Hit (even one), that square scores 10 points. All adjacent squares score 5. Then, we get complications. An example occurred a couple of weeks ago when no-one scored a Direct Hit. Me and Spot then set a radius moving out from the ball until we find winning squares. These score 5 points (Plus 1 point for taking part). The next squares, moving away from the ball, score 3 points (Obviously, plus 1 point for taking part). It kind of works. Any confusion may have arisen because of the Cup scoring that came after the League started. Personally, we prefer the Cup scoring which gives more points out (usually).

Here are a couple of scoring grids. They may make more sense...

F A Cup scoring

League scoring

What is pretty amazing is how BOTH Cup finalists end up at 1 and 2 in the 1st Division. A bit like Spurs and Burnley in the early 60's !!!

Hope this helps :D

Spot... walkies !!!

"IF" we do it again next season, we will probably use the Cup scoring system.

Perhaps I was in shock after being just 4 points behind Buxton then being 19 points behind in one fell (foul) swoop.

Oh well,my purple patch might have come to an end.
