So was I, these are 2 of the more shameful defeats we have suffered.
Losing to non league sides twice whilst in the top/premier league is a record not to be proud of.

For me the difference between then and now is that against Wimbledon we created loads of chances. James kept crossing the ball but the two big central defenders from Wimbledon kept on clearing the threat. Then of course they broke away and scored.

Today we just didn't seem bothered that much. Shame, a poor reflection on todays game and today players in the big boys league.

I was there against Wimbledon too.
Pretty similar stuff on offer from the Clarets today.
Some very poor performances today. Fair play to Lincoln.
They battled and scrapped and did well for their win
Hope they get a decent home draw.

Another also at the Wimbledon game. That was then, this is now.

This is a "1 game in 100" result.

Blot it out. We are in the Premier League.

The Wimbledon game was just, well....One of those days. For the most part, we battered them but, couldn't score.

Today, we were beaten by the better side.

I went to the Wimbledon game too. Frustrating as I remember and don't particularly recall their keeper having a ' blinder'. Always thought that was in the next round V Leeds. Today though wasn't frustrating because there was very little action in their box. As poor as I've seen under Dyche, both collectively and individually. Looking for a response next week.

I was there v Wimbledon as well. Say at back of Bee Hole end at full time and cried TBH. Today I manned up and waited until I got back to the car. Disgraceful today and got what we deserved.

Wimbledon was worse, they were a proper non league side, we were top six. Lincoln are a full time professional outfit

Seriosuly ****** off today but it hurts nowhere near as much as a defeat against Blackburn, by next Saturday it will all be forgotten about.

I wasn't at that game.

You lose games sometimes when you don't turn up.

They scored with their only chance, and if we'd even half turned up, then we would have won.

But we didn't and fair play to Lincoln for that.

The Independent online reports

"But the hero for Wimbledon was goalkeeper Dickie Guy who made a string of superb saves"

I was not at the match but seem to recall that much of the coverage centred on goalkeeper Dickie Guy.

Perhaps it was the beard that made him newsworthy. :P

I (unfortunately) had to suffer the Wimbledon ignominy and all these years later had to suffer it all again!! We weren't great on that day back in 1975 tbh, even though Dickie Guy did play well, but today we were utter garbage. Let's be honest, that was a VERY decent team we put out and Lincoln made us look very poor. I'm actually embarrassed (top put it mildly) Anyway, I'm off to Hull next week to see if we can sort it out!! 3 points there would help put things right almost instantly!!!

I was on the Wimbledon game and today was much, much worse in my opinion. Wimbledon did shock us and played well for the first 20 mins or so, but after that we battered them and had numerous shots on goal. As others have said, their keeper had a blinder and I think we may have hit the woodwork as well. They were clearly a good side, Leeds just about scraping through against them after a replay in the next round. After that they romped through the leagues.

Today was absolutely woeful, we were really, really bad, their keeper hardly having a save to make. Will go down as one of the worst defeats in our history.

I was at both games. The difference for me is that this time were a team on the up.

This defeat will hopefully keep some feet on the floor.

Lessons learnt today could make the difference for next season.

It how we bounce back. Didnt we win away the next match?

You cant keep missing chances and win,it is hard enough in the Premier League you only get maybe one chance, but the opposition today,we should really score at least one goal,All of our strikers must feel worse than us,WAKE UP CALL!
