No respect

Post by Ooogeorgeorgeoghani » Sat Feb 18, 2017 3:34 pm

Shown from Dyche, towards lincoln the fans or the cup, why change a winning formula and risk getting knocked out, a disjointed performance by a team missing key members, ward, mee, lowton should have all started,

Playing an International striker? A defender whose been in the England squad? Another defender whose a direct replacement for Keane and a midfielder who has been a regular in our Prem side? The only one was Darikwa

At least he has given them plenty of respect in his post-match comments.

In hindsight we should have played the players you mentioned. Of course, it would have helped if certain injured/suspended players had also been available (not an excuse, just saying!). However this team beat Sunderland and Bristol City so you would expect them to beat Lincoln. They didn't perform and that's that.

We started Heaton, Darikwa (who was arguably our MOTM), a strong central defence, our best midfield with the injuries/suspensions and Gray/Vokes upfront.

There was little else Dyche could have done! All he did was switch Ward/Lowton for Flan/Darikwa and Darikwa was probably our best player!

Nonsense ,we have played a much stronger eleven than on the previous rounds and can't beat a non- league side who were much better than us on the day.

We played a strong side. What if it was Boyd or Ward who was injured?

I have no problem with rotating today - that team should have been easily strong enough perhaps with the exception of Flanagan. Most of the players were abysmal but Dyche has to take responsibility for the tactics deployed which played right into their hands.

Previous rounds we played Pope instead of Heaton. Same defence, same strikeforce and Barton/Westwood central midfield is as good as we could have got. And, we have Vokes/Gray upfront.

How on God's Green Earth, can we play a 'much stronger eleven' than that?

Dyche has played the same kind of mix of 1st team and squad players in every cup game which has seen us get to this point so apart from hindsight I don't know why he should have changed it.
Far more disappointing with the players than Dyche.

Here I was thinking we were ****! Apparently if we played Ward and Lowton we would've won!

Not a respect issue but clearly performance . Ward should have been on at half time

Ward ,cracks on down the wing ,makes himself available ,Darickwa was strangly reluctuant to get forward and.beat his man until late in the second half. Flannagan constantly gave the ball away with poor passing, mee would have cleared it off the line ! Instead of ducking.

We had no width against a very similar narrow team, the full backs pushing on would have provided that

The decision to continue with Flanagan at half time was weird, but SD does tend to give players a chance to redeem themselves.

But that was really, really, poor, all over the pitch

Now that is clutching at straws.
