Disgusting fans
Had a change of seats today in the JHU and there was a group of around 7 of us so were spread across a row. We were in a ST holders seat who had bought it for today, so of course he rightly was entitled to that seat. However instead of 'excuse me you're in my seat' he just decided to barge into me and when I asked if it was his seat he just looked as though i'd p*ssed on his Christmas presents. I then said 'I don't mind moving its your seat just ask rather than shove me' and then when I did move I got 'shut up fatty', this from a fellow Burnley fan and a grown adult.
It's pedantic, ignorant and rude people who make football less enjoyable. If I had been awkward I would understand but this man didn't even bother to ask politely if I could move up.

Re: Disgusting fans
Sounds about right for the JHU.
Knuckle dragging and uneducated.
Not a surprise though.

Don't seat in my seat again , if you do I might show you my nasty side .

Obviously I had no issue moving from his seat, but it doesn't hurt to politely ask rather than act like that

Why didn't you sit in the seat you were allocated?

There was a group of us all next to each other (standing, it was row Z) so we spread out a little into empty seats as we had 2 young children with us, I was on the end so was stood in his seat. Had no issue moving but it's not difficult to ask rather than just stand thereGoody1975 wrote:Why didn't you sit in the seat you were allocated?

I see the OP made it sound like you were sat in his seats, you were just spread out a little too far.Tuddybfc wrote:There was a group of us all next to each other (standing, it was row Z) so we spread out a little into empty seats as we had 2 young children with us, I was on the end so was stood in his seat. Yeah that's what happened. Even I had been sat in his seat though it's still no trouble to ask me to move rather than just standing thereGoody1975 wrote:I see the OP made it sound like you were sat in his seats, you were just spread out a little too far.

Re: Disgusting fans
I purchased a ticket in the JHU but, unfortunately, it wasn't next to my mates. I still sat next to them and some ar*ehole then claimed it was his seat. Granted, his ticket was for the seat I was sat in but there were plenty of unoccupied seats in the 'Jimmy Mac' where he could have gone. Still, he insisted that he took up the seat on his ticket. I remonstrated, landing a few slaps to his noggin. Next minute, the Stewards forcibly removed me from the ground and a Police horse bit the hood off my jacket.
A bad day all round.

Going to your seat and finding someone sat on it is very annoying, maybe next time get your own, problem solved.
Re: Disgusting fans
Wasn't sat in his seat just stood over it, which wasn't a problem considering at that time it was empty. I had no problem moving, doesn't take much to just askFlatline wrote:Going to your seat and finding someone sat on it is very annoying, maybe next time get your own, problem solved.

Bit confused why were you stood over it.
Re: Disgusting fans
Because it was empty so we spread out to give everyone a bit more room. If I was being arsey About moving I'd understand being unreasonable but I was perfectly happy to move once he did arrive latesmudge wrote:Bit confused why were you stood over it.

At what time was this seat still empty, 12.50? If not, then i'm afraid you occupied the area too soon.

Re: Disgusting fans
This is all rather confusing - the op reads as its one man being rude but then its apparently plural.
You say you were in a ST holders seat but then you were just stood over it.
I think if you had been banging on as much about it you are on here, I would have told you to shut up as well. People are rude in all walks of life - he thought you were rude for sitting in his seat, you thought he was rude in his reaction. Just one of things.

Re: Disgusting fans
And being able to arrive at the seat you've paid to occupy, at your own leisure, and be able to access it without any issues shouldn't be alot to ask.
Re: Disgusting fans
All it was is I was stood in the way of him putting the seat down which of course therefore I should move to let him sit down, but rather than just asking me he just stood there and when I asked 'oh sorry am I in your seat' he became rude despite the fact I asked politely and was prepared to move.cloughyclaret wrote:This is all rather confusing - the op reads as its one man being rude but then its apparently plural.

Re: Disgusting fans
He shouldn't have the need to ask, he'd paid for that space in the ground and it should be vacant and awaiting him for when he arrives, at whatever time that may be.
Re: Disgusting fans
Well it isn't is it, I moved immediatly and wasn't intentionally obstructing him, I didn't even realise I was on his chair. If I was being rude to him then I'd expect the same treatment but I acted politeysmudge wrote:Someone sat in your seat is like someone parked on your drive bloody annoying.

As I've just said, I made the mistake of being over his seat. It isn't as though I refused to move, it could of easily been solved if he had just askedBarry_Chuckle wrote:He shouldn't have the need to ask, he'd paid for that space in the ground and it should be vacant and awaiting him for when he arrives, at whatever time that may be.
Re: Disgusting fans
You seem to be missing the point, stood there or sat there is the same. It's not your area that you payed for,you were in the wrong and have paid the price.Tuddybfc wrote:Wasn't sat in his seat just stood over it, which wasn't a problem considering at that time it was empty. Re: Disgusting fans
You also seem to be missing the point too flatline, I had no problem moving and as a result he shouldn't have needed to say anything aside from 'excuse me' as I didn't realise I was over a seat not taken by someone in my group. There was no need to 'pay the price'Flatline wrote:You seem to be missing the point, stood there or sat there is the same. It's not your area that you payed for,you were in the wrong and have paid the price.
"Excuse me you're in my seat"
"Oh sorry about that I'll move"
"Cheers"
Prettt simple isn't it

If your saying you were one seat out and you didn't realise, fair do's, otherwise not acceptable.Tuddybfc wrote:You also seem to be missing the point too flatline, I had no problem moving and as a result he shouldn't have needed to say anything aside from 'excuse me' as I didn't realise I was over a seat not taken by someone in my group.
Re: Disgusting fans
That's what happened, there was a large group of us and I didn't know exactly where our tickets started and ended. It isn't as though I was in a completely random seat, I was just one too far to the left, and was happy to move once I realised it wasn't a seat in my groupFlatline wrote:If your saying you were one seat out and you didn't realise, fair do's, otherwise not acceptable.

Thought they acted disgracefully today. When Lincoln scored, of course they should cheer and applaud, but they were swearing and jeering at Clarets in the JH and JML and the little girl behind me began to cry due to their taunting.Sheedyclaret wrote:Nearly turned abit nasty in JHl today Lincoln fans in one of hospitality boxes got abit tasty
