Not sure if they do but ...........
I really hope the players and/or management don't glance over this board on occasions.
Some pretty awful, offensive & down right stupid comments made.
No dispute we were awful today, but everyone has a bad performance once in a while, we have been blessed that over the last 3/4 years they have been minimal.
As for hoping players " never wear the shirt " again & have ruined a great season on the back of that today you really need to give your heads a shake.
It's done, move on & more importantly get behind the lads.

Some people just don't have the emotional maturity to handle defeat so have to lash out at whomever they feel does not meet their own incomprehensible and ever changing standards.

Some people pay their money to watch their team play a strong squad *yes, on paper we should have still won* and their players give their all to win.CombatClaret wrote:Some people just don't have the emotional maturity to handle defeat so have to lash out at whomever they feel does not meet their own incomprehensible and ever changing standards.
People like Flanagan today just could not be arsed.....same as at Accy when he got his pants whipped down repeatedly.
"People" have a right to moan when you get that performance from a team ..... It's not lashing out, it's buying into the mantra which is regurjitated to us repeatedly... "Maximum effort is the minimim requirement."
That was no where near maximum effort.

Agreed disappointment is only natural and debate on the team's performance, structure etc (though pointless as nothing anyone says on this board will affect anything) is part of being invested as a fan. The toy throwing, players bashing, knee jerking only helps to lower the mood further and encourage resentment among each other.bfccrazy wrote:People" have a right to moan when you get that performance from a team ..... I've never understood the 'I pay my money' though, there's no obligation beyond sitting as a seat while a match in progress, anything else is projected onto the transaction by the individual. Otherwise you'd get a refund for today.

We're ultimately customers of Burnley Football Club. If we went to Mc D's and the staff were'nt up to the task and having an off day ..... We'd be right to complain.CombatClaret wrote:Agreed disappointment is only natural and debate on the team's performance, structure etc (though pointless as nothing anyone says on this board will affect anything) is part of being invested as a fan. Hang on a minute.
This is not just any cup upset. A Premier League team has been turned over by one from the National League. This ranks up there with one of the biggest shocks in FA cup history. Monumental. Historic. It will be talked about for generations.
I expect 'people' to be hurt, angry, disappointed. Just as I expect Dyche and the players to be.
If reactions are over the top, they can be justified, not least by the manner of the performance. Rank bad. Probably up there with one of the worst efforts in recent memory.
By and large, we don't criticise at the Turf. And it's been noted by Dyche and the players that the fans don't get on the players backs during games.
There have been many plaudits coming our way this season, and rightly so. But it's perfectly reasonable to expect from paying customers, that when we not only fall below the standards we set, but nosedive off a cliff, that criticism be made, and questions be asked.
You have to accept the rough with the smooth, in any walk of life. Football is no different.
