Summer squad building

Post by Blackrod » Sat Feb 18, 2017 8:22 pm

Was of the opinion we just needed a quality striker that can link midfield and attack. If we are going to persist in using Arfield and Boyd as narrow wide men in any capacity then we must strengthen full back cover and invest in this area too. If Keane goes we are one or two injuries short of a problem.

I don't think we are persisting in using Arfield and Boyd as narrow wide men, we started with Gudmundsson, who was hacked, and Brady was cup tied.

We will get injuries next season too and unless we replace them also we will be using them as back up next season. So it's a bigger squad rebuilding job than I thought.

Need to set aside £50,000 a week to land a proven scorer, and that's doing it cheap.

Prior to today's game we'd on failed to score once (Sunderland away) sine West Ham in December.

Scoring goals isn't a problem.
