Re: Woevers v Man Utd
Looks a decent gate for a lower league side, are they not boycotting today, I can't keep up

Wouldn't be a bad thing them getting through, another game, fixture back log, Judas gets longer in the job..... lots of potential positives.

Was a good goal, well worked. They are playing well too. United don't look up for it at all.

Agent Coyle working his magic. Carry on at this rate and the job is his for a few more months yet.

Last thing we want is for Rovers to win, would boost their confidence no end.
Six or seven by Man yoo for me.

Has the boycott ended then? Odd seeing Ewood full.
Re: Woevers v Man Utd
So, what message are Rovers fans sending Venkys by all turning up today? That the only thing they are protesting against is being near the bottom of the championship. Nothing to do with who owns the club. They just don't like being an average team.
This was the big chance to publicise a proper protest that the owners may have noted. Today undermines all previous efforts.

Not full, the top tier of the Clayton end is almost empty.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Has the boycott ended then? Odd seeing Ewood full.

Re: Woevers v Man Utd
typical Coyle team, decent going forward and hopeless at the back. I hope it's a draw, keeps him in a job
Must be quite odd when your biggest game of the week is Burton away and not Manchester United at home

Re: Woevers v Man Utd
The average team part is spot on, they want someone to buy their way to the upper echelons of the PL, they just don't like to admit it in public.Foulthrow wrote:So, what message are Rovers fans sending Venkys by all turning up today? Re: Woevers v Man Utd
I'm wondering how unfit Luke Shaw is that he cant make the starting line up for a cup game....
He's fully recovered from that broken leg isn't he?
I vaguely remember him having fitness issues before the leg break too.

Was wondering how the red card protest had gone, then found this on the BRFCC board...

Re: Woevers v Man Utd
Think that must be the Blackburn End, won't the 7000 Utd fans be in the Darwen End?Barry_Chuckle wrote:Not full, the top tier of the Darwen end is almost empty.
PS - The camera position is on the opposite side this season.

Did the red cards appear in the 18th minute?
I suppose scoring in the 16th took the shine off it.

Not sure if this is a good thing or not. Something to distract Rovers from the league may have been a positive.

Re: Woevers v Man Utd
It shows all you need to know about Coyle. It was such an obvious offside you would have thought a look to the linesman would have been your first reaction. Not celebrating like an 8 year old who has no real clue about the rules.HendricksHair wrote:Coyle's celebration was a three second version of his managerial career

I thought Rovers fans were on strike?! They don't attend Championship games based on their strong principles.
Oh yes, I forgot that they're fickle *******.

Re: Woevers v Man Utd
It's baffling really, if they really gave that much if a **** about Venkys taking over their club they would have boycotted this game. Imagine seeing a virtually empty stadium for home fans live in TV, it would've made the papers and been a real talking point.
Instead they turn up in numbers (not many as it turns out, attendance was only 23k) and nobody noticed their stupid red card protest.
This was a chance to reinforce their message to some and get it out there for others but it becomes another footnote on their pace decline to the footballing doldrums where they have spent most of their history.
Sayonara

Re: Woevers v Man Utd
This Tweet is from a Liss_Russ, after the match.
'For 90 minutes today we had our Rovers back & the fans stood united. Huge game in our history this week we need to pull together again #brfc'
It just about sums the lot of them up for me.
They'll come back for the Glory Games, forgetting all their protests and discontents for an hour and a half looking at the glittering bauble that is a glamour tie against Man Utd.
They deserve the long, drawn-out demise they are suffering.
