Don't worry he's not died. I have just read that his new album is a collaboration with The Jayhawks ... one of my favourite songwriters and one of my favourite bands.
I was equally excited with the Brian Wilson/Wondermints team up and wondered what other old timer / younger bands would excite other music fans on the board.
My choice would be Roger McGuin and Dawes.

Some great tracks on Revolver and some bad.
Now if he was talking about Sergeant Peppers then fair enough. It always used to grate me when that album used to get voted no 1 album of all time in polls.
It isn't the best Beatles album or even one of the best albums from 1967. People who blindly agree that SPLHC Band is the best album ever made are probably folk who are best avoided in discussions about music.
