The Clarets have only won one of their 10 Premier League games in the month of March (D1, L8). Their points per game ratio of 0.40 in this month is the worst by any side in the history of the competition.
Burnley have only won four of their 52 Premier League away matches overall (D8, L40)
Everyone must wear something lucky tomorrow so get them lucky pants out or whatever and lets get this monkey off our backs

We are still to be beaten by any Italian, Spanish or German team in a major European final.

The only meaningful stat for us will come in the month of May.
The reality of having an R next to our name or not.

This Stat is only relevant to those emptyheaded folk who think that football only consists of the Premier League.
Please re-issue the figures including all our March games in the top league.
We are unbeaten against Celtic for donkey's years!

Nobody, but nobody is talking about the prospect of Burnley being in a relegation tussle other than Burnley fans.
If we don't win away all season we'll almost certainly still stay up and nobody will give a rat's ass how we did it.

Time to get the monkey off our backs with our first away win of the season, all be it that we are playing Sunderland who we haven't beat in a league game at Sunderland in our last 10 visits, the last victory being in 1972 when we were on our way to winning the old second division.
That's a statistic that I don't like.

I think the reality is that we are expected to get a result at Sunderland if not win.
Whether that becomes an actual stat. time will tell.

If Hull lose, as expected away to Everton & Boro don't beat Man U. a draw isn't a disaster.
That would leave us 8 clear with 9 to play. And with Hull's vastly inferior GD it'll mean they'd have to win 3 games without reply just to overtake us. A big ask!

I posted, the other week, that we have been relatively poor in March under SD.
Whether related to injuries, suspensions or, as this time, fixtures.
We have come back, every season, with an excellent finish.
I expect the same this time.

Certainly in the Prem season we were there or thereabouts at this stage and I got the feeling he targeted another 3 or 4 points to keep us up. We went incredibly defensive to eke them out. And it backfired.

"Reality" in this case won't happen until April 1st, so let's re-convene on this one again next month (or maybe at 5pm today!?). Until then, we can't, and don't need, to face "reality".

May I just point out that LAST SEASON'S CHAMPIONS, LEICESTER CITY, HAVE NOT WON AN AWAY GAME ALL SEASON EITHER.
In fact they have only earned ONE more point away from home than Burnley.
Mountains & Molehills.
Sorry, I had to shout Grrr..
