Brady final ball

Post by 1914tyrone » Sat Mar 18, 2017 5:03 pm

Is so poor, he had two or three great opportunities with time and space. Yet failed to find a claret or a decent effort at goal.
All in all a good point and again not a bad performance. More composure required at times.

In general we struggled to cross. That ball they put in for the glaring miss was outstanding. Why cant we do that.

One of our best crosses is probably Andre Gray, which says it all when he's the man we want down the middle.

Apart from his freekick against Chelsea, what I have seen of him so far hasn't impressed me.

I think next season he will be a key player, if he develops with the team, but at the moment he is treading water.

No worse than Arfield and Lowton. Boyd just doesn't even bother.

Happy to hang on for a point in the end. Sunderland had 3 maybe 4 great chances second half.

Gray and Barnes again combined well, just our final ball and set pieces drive me crazy! Looping easy balls for Pickford.

More concerned about Arfield being on set pieces. Shambles

If Gray was any good he would smash in the perfect cross. And then get on the end of it himself to score. Bring back Marvin.

Brady completely out of form if you ask me.

Apart from Defour, Barton, JBG and (occasionally) Lowton, we've got no-one capable of delivering a final ball.

Should have played Brady today instead of Arfield,Brady is never going to run into form getting 20 minutes hear and there.

Got to earn his place.

Apart from the wonderful free-kick goal against Chelsea he has looked awful - I am hoping its nerves or something. Again today he played in an inexplicable pass across the field straight to an opponent with no team-mate within 20 yards and made the wrong decision when he was in space on the left.

There has to be more to him than this - but maybe we won't find out until next season.

He gave us much better balance when he came on - we finally had some width - and he linked up nicely a couple of times, but certainly he made a balls of two wonderful crossing opportunities which should have been better.

Arfield, Lowton and Boyd werent signed for 13million to help boost our prem credentials though.

I like Brady - I really want him to succeed (as I do every Burnley player) but the more I'm seeing the more I'm worrying - we were lucky not to concede when they broke from a completely wayward pass he made that was nowhere near intended and had no reason to be rushed.

Delete everything from Apart to the comma.

I'm 64 and can still cross a ball better than any of them with either foot.

Like someone has said above Brady isn't going to get up to speed getting thrown on for 15 minutes here and there. Still managed to get himself into more promising positions than Boyd or Arfield did all afternoon.

More of a through ball along the ground but I'm not convinced it was aimed for Barnes, think the ball was for Gray myself. Deserves credit for putting the ball in the right area though.

His first attempt at a cross was enough for me to accept that we were never going to win today. What should have been a simple square ball to Vokes one nil, he just passed it to the keeper.

Abysmal.

yeah pretty much bar that pass his delivery is always overhit or looped into the keepers hands unless you somehow think 1 good assist means otherwise

His best bit of play came with 5 minutes to go when it fell to him centrally on the edge of the box and he some how managed to turn away from goal and go sideways!!

Brady, vokes and defour play from the start today we would have won today in my opinion.

If we had Trippier in the team we would be comfortably top ten. A decent crosser of the ball from the flanks is an absolute must in the summer.

He'll be fine, it's still very early in his Burnley career and there have been some promising signs of quality. The more time he gets on the field the more he will grow into the role.

File him under Hendrick, needs a dozen games or so before getting up to speed. Should see results in the last few games of the season with next year being huge as he starts to look a bargain at £13 million.

Clearly has quality and is the only player we have who's willing to drive forward with the ball. Needs to start. His set pieces are on the money nine times out of ten too.

As inconsistent as hes been he has already got as many goals and more assists than Arfield or Boyd. Gets in very good positions. Looks nervey and or trying to do too much. But at least he will run and try and make something happen.

Arfield and Boyd are good players. But neither are creative or quick enough.

Im sure he will come good.

Was a mistake not to start him today, I think he'd have produced something for us over the 90. When on he took up some good positions but again failed to show the composure needed - only starting games will see him improve in this.

Seems to have been missed on here but Brady last night sweep the board in the FAI awards .
He bagged Young player of the year , goal of the year , and senior player of the year .
Not bad from someone who can't pass a ball .
He did make one very interesting comment as he said " that he was finding it hard in his new set up at Burnley " .
He will come good as we all know .

It's alright criticising Brady's final ball, but at least he's putting in a final ball. I can't even picture Boyd putting in a cross.

His very first ball in was spot on - only reason it failed to find a Claret was because said Claret Sam Vokes didn't read it, respond to it etc.
