Anyway, Hull, Boro & Sunderland are gone!
Anyway, Hull, Boro & Sunderland are gone!
Today's 4-0 defeat sticks a big nail in Hull's coffin as they were the only ones looking likely to have any chance.
Re: Anyway, Hull, Boro & Sunderland are gone!
Hull's next 4 home fixtures are West Ham, Boro, Watford and Sunderland. Don't write them off yet.

Hopefully Hull are close to going down but they still have 4 or 5 home games
that they'll think they can win so not quite down and out.
Hopefully Boro' wont' get a result against United tomorrow which will help us.
I've got a feeling that we may well stay up by just drawing a few more games.

This. Plus, Boro have 2 games in hand and they've sacked a **** poor manager - they could pick up points.RVclaret wrote:Hull's next 4 home fixtures are West Ham, Boro, Watford and Sunderland. Don't write them off yet.
Far from all over yet.
Re: Anyway, Hull, Boro & Sunderland are gone!
Dear me. Hull are 3 points off safety with 27 points still to play for.

Non scoring is coming home to roost for Boro. Defensivelly they've looked fairly sound but I doubt it'll be enough.
Re: Anyway, Hull, Boro & Sunderland are gone!
Our home games are Spurs, Stoke, Man. U. West Brom & West Ham
All winnable as well.

Hull have won 5 and drew against us in the 6 home games since the new manager came in.
We haven't won a game in February or March.
Thankfully we play teams that our tactics can work against now.

Nobody is down yet, on Hull they had a Huddlestone straight red today and it will be a 3 match ban for him

Lol, nice cherry picking of stats.Quickenthetempo wrote:Hull have won 5 and drew against us in the 6 home games since the new manager came in.

It's recent form, hardly twisting anything.Tall Paul wrote:Lol, nice cherry picking of stats.

Why are you ignoring Hull's away games, the fact that 80% of our games since the end of January (those that you were referring to) have been away, and our only home game in there was against the team that is 13 points clear at the top of the league?Quickenthetempo wrote:It's recent form, hardly twisting anything.
Re: Anyway, Hull, Boro & Sunderland are gone!
If it comes down to goal difference then we have a much better goal difference than Hull,Sunderland and Swansea which is worh a point

Never take anything in football for granted one team in the bottom 3 usually has a surge of form and one mid table side sinks like a stone.
I don't think we will because of our defence but we are relying on a very small nuclei of players to keep us afloat.

We're relying on the team that came up - apart from Hendrick.

given that our form away is atrocious, even v sunderland, it doesn't bode well for fortcoming games if we look so poor. hardly a confidence boosting draw.

I was just making a point they are not done and dusted because their home form under the new manager is excellent.Tall Paul wrote:Why are you ignoring Hull's away games, the fact that 80% of our games since the end of January (those that you were referring to) have been away, and our only home game in there was against the team that is 13 points clear at the top of the league?

They're done and dusted as far as WE'RE concerned.
Not the slightest chance they'll overhaul us.

We made Swansea look like Real Madrid but they have been shocking against Hull and B'mouth.

And as you pointed out earlier in this thread, we're the only side to take anything from Hull in their last six home games.Quickenthetempo wrote:We made Swansea look like Real Madrid but they have been shocking against Hull and B'mouth.
But let's just focus on the negatives, eh?

I reckon Sunderland and Boro are all but gone.
Hull have 5 home games of their 9 games left, Swansea have 5 home games too, Palace have a dreadful set of fixtures though. Only 4 at home Arsenal, Leicester, Burnley and Hull. Chelsea, Southampton, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs to play away.
Peter Swan is suggesting that Hull HAVE to take the risk of appealing the ban for Tom Huddleston, losing him for the next three games could see them lose pace on Swansea and Palace and with West Ham and Boro at home being winnable games they'd be better off challenging the red card and taking the risk of losing him for the Stoke away game if there's any chance that that the ban could be dropped on appeal.

We're as bad as Liverpool only getting a point at Sunderland.
