Stevan Jovetic

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Tue Mar 21, 2017 11:31 pm

Not a potential signing thread BUT you never know.

A good friend of mine Branko arranged for his pal Jovetic to send a message to my nephew which has absolutely made his day. Just a small gesture but these things are huge for kids.

Branko (in the picture) has been visiting Burnley for 4 or 5 years now and comes to many Burnley games. There are a few Burnley fans out there now as a result and an unofficial supporters club (although we havent permanently converted Branko as he was Liverpool before we became friends - half and half will have to do with him!)

Burnley is on the map even more out there now and Branko said he is going to suggest to Jovetic when his loan ends at Sevilla that he should head back to the north west :D :D :D :D

For the last few years my nephew has followed their results and players closely and Jovetic is his favourite Balkans player so you can imagine his face when he saw the picture!!!

Message reads 'For my little Claret, Archie lad. From your brothers in Montenegro. NNN (No Nay Never). The Montenegrins have even adopted the now ironic / sarcastic 'SU'

He'd be brilliant if he played week in week out unlike he did at City.

I think my head would explode if we signed Jovetic. This is largely because he is one of my favourite ever players on Fifa :D

Fair play to the three men involved who have made a little lad very happy.
