Redundancy payments??????

Post by minnieclaret » Thu Apr 06, 2017 9:34 pm

Help required please.
The daughter has just been made redundant, thankfully she has found a new position.
She has received her final salary payment but is still owed for OOP Ex's, holiday pay and her notice.
Could anybody with knowledge in this area tell me will the administrators contact her or should she be making first contact?
Also is there any likelihood of her receiving anything?
Cheers, guys.

Sadly if administrators are involved be more than likely that your daughter will be lucky to get anything like 10p to the pound on money owed

I can't remember the exact rules because it's a number of years since I was made redundant.

However, the liquidators were involved from day one. The final payout included redundancy pay, final salary, holiday pay and time off owed in-lieu. I'd started a business the following day so missed out on something, I can't remember if it was notice or not.

As it was liquidation the redundancy was statutory so capped.

Depends whether she was made redundant in the first 14 days. If so she is at the back of the queue for any monies owed
