Relegated teams
Is there any players from the possible relegated teams that you would like Burnley to sign in the summer.
Hull - maguire, Robertson
Swansea - montero
Boro - traore
Sunderland - whatmore
For me

Re: Relegated teams
Sigurdsson is a fantastic player but he will be in demand by many teams. Better than Snodgrass.

Mawson and Gibson are a good shout.
Think sigurdsson will end up at a top 8 team.

Re: Relegated teams
Llorente.
Siggurdsson would be amazing but cant see it.
Maguire looks decent but if we lose keane we need someone quicker and more agile than Maguire.
Robertson looks ok.
Niasse if everton want shut and hull dont keep him.
Fabianski if heaton goes. Maybe pickford.
Defoe but wont happen.
Palace could go down. In that case Ledley, Cabaye, Benteke, Puncheon.

Re: Relegated teams
I know this might turn a few stomachs, but what about Downing at Boro for 1 season?
Re: Relegated teams
Robertson, Grosicki, Clucas and Hernandez from Hull.

Why would we want to sign players who have failed to keep up their respective clubs, should be looking for better than this.

£60-70k a week at Boro, plus I'm not sure he's that good anymore, hard to tell really.FactualFrank wrote:I know this might turn a few stomachs, but what about Downing at Boro for 1 season?

Re: Relegated teams
I will be surprised If Hull offload a large number of players. They already had one fire sale of their best assets I can see them trying to keep Roberson, Grosiki anothers to try and bounce back 1st time.

Karanka didn't want him though, questioned his commitment etc and tried to force him to train with the U23's, just the same with Bamford.

Because sometimes one or two parts are better than the sum total they create.Steve1956 wrote:Why would we want to sign players who have failed to keep up their respective clubs, should be looking for better than this.
To think no one is good enough is very arrogant.
Sigurdsson, Defoe?!

Re: Relegated teams
Downing I think still has the ability to play for us next season. He's certainly better than the likes of Arfield. We need speed, skill and technique. He still has that.

What do people think of Chris Wood?
I know he's played in the Prem before, but he's 25 and looks a different animal.

He has a terrible reputation at Boro for creating disruption and factions in the squad - not a Sean player I think and certainly not the pace we dream ofFactualFrank wrote:Downing I think still has the ability to play for us next season. Re: Relegated teams
The pace we'll never get though unless we take a chance. A disruption from one player can be sound as a pound under Dyche. Look at Barton. (ok poor example with pace, but more a character change)Chester Perry wrote:He has a terrible reputation at Boro for creating disruption and factions in the squad - not a Sean player I think and certainly not the pace we dream of

Re: Relegated teams
Clucas and Robertson at Hull.
Dyer, Routledge and Cork at Swansea.
Slightly off topic but if Reading don't go up (maybe even if they do) - I'd like us to go for Garath McCleary. Versatile, dynamic, scores goals.

Re: Relegated teams
Leroy Fer from Swansea. Was impressed with him at QPR and he has gone up a level since. Chips in with a few goals.

Re: Relegated teams
Apart from Mawson, Maguire, Robertson and Clucas - I don't think we can afford the wages of any of the Premier League Boys - if (a big one) Silva stays at Hull (only if they stay up) none of their players will want to leave him from what I have seen.

have a read of some of the Boro forums, they can't stand him, was dog **** at West Ham too - big no from meFactualFrank wrote:I know this might turn a few stomachs, but what about Downing at Boro for 1 season?
I've said it before but pretty much every team in La Liga and Ligue One in France have better wingers than we do
Re: Relegated teams
Bamford, we wouldn't have to water the pitch
