Keano nominated for PFA Young Player of the Year

Post by MiltonKeynesClaret93 » Thu Apr 13, 2017 9:13 am

He's in pretty good company alongside the likes of Dele Alli and Romelu Lukaku.
Absolutely brilliant.

Should add a couple of million onto his price tag.

Unfortunately, I think Golden boy Kane will take the prize, unjustly in my opinion.

I am so proud that a Burnley player is receiving such an accolade - long may it continue.

Well done Michael.

Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku are up for both the player and young player of the year awards as well.

Deli Alli is my favourite player from that list (besides Keano ;) ), a class act! Lukaku has been in sensational form as well though!

Dele Alli over 60% of the fans vote but that doesn't count.
Lukaku second on 20%

He has his reasons for not having Alli on the back of his shirt.

He was given away by his parents at 13 and adopted by another family.

Unfortunately his relationship with his Dad has recently broken down hence why he no longer has Alli on his shirt.

That's some achievement for Keano and his price increases with every passing accolade. Win win situation for the club.

Having seen the list of the other candidates it makes it very difficult for Michael Keane to win it, but what an achievement to be nominated by his fellow professionals as one of the top six young players.

The only outfield player who isn't an attacker shows how both good and highly rated he is by most.

Thinking exactly the same myself, to get on that list as a defender speaks volumes about how good a player he is, and also how he conducts himself on and off the pitch.
He has as very bright future in the game, just hope he picks his next move with playing time in mind not money.

He no longer has his name (his name, not his dad's name) on his shirt because he's a pretentious pillock. Do you think he rang British Gas up and asked them to address all bills to Dele because he'd fallen out with daddy?

I'm quite interested in what was going through his head when he spoke to his manager about it and how at no point in that process it occurred to him, or was pointed out to him, that he was coming across as a bit of a knob?

I suppose you know him personally then?
If you knew his parents you'd know exactly why he doesn't want to give the name Alli any recognition whatsoever.

Awesome for Keane and will help add a few extra quid on his price tag for us. Alli will walk it

Dele Alli will probably win but what an achievement for one of our players. As looks likely we are going to lose him to a 'bigger club' come the summer and with this nomination and his 1st England cap if we get less than 30 million plus for him it will be scandalous...

Lukaku seems to have been around for donkeys years, must have been still at school when he first became prominent.

He should sign a 2 year extension to his current contract. Pay the lad to stay and help us, he can go for glory in a year or two.
