Robbie Brady
seems to be finding his feet, looked much more comfortable the last few games

Re: Robbie Brady
Certainly looked like his best performance for us.

Re: Robbie Brady
Had some good moments today, but seems to lack concentration at the vital moment sometimes.
Dreadfully one footed though - sure Sean will sort him out pre season.

Re: Robbie Brady
Did well with his one foot.
Re: Robbie Brady
Yet still managed to put one great cross in with his other in the first half...IanMcL wrote:Did well with his one foot.

Agreed, definitely seems to be adapting to the #framework in recent games. Much like Hendrick and JBG did after working with Dyche for a bit

Re: Robbie Brady
one of the things Dyche does best is get the players super fit and improves them...a good trick that lots of managers havnt mastered...utc.

Re: Robbie Brady
Class player and will be a star for us you can see it coming
Re: Robbie Brady
He should have told Barton that he (Brady) was going to take the free kick, it was just perfect position for him. His final ball in open play is still missing for me.

Re: Robbie Brady
Will be very good. Hes extremely confident in his own abillity. Quick, direct, tricky and a wicked left foot.
He likes to run with the ball which means he will lose it more tjan Boyd. For that reason I hope our fans dont get on his back. Players like him are the ones that need most encouragement.

Re: Robbie Brady
Good player, will probably end up like Boyd and have all the quality ran out of him. He will be a workhorse with no quality in approximately 6 months time.

Re: Robbie Brady
Only 3-4 weeks ago people were saying he wasn't good enough. This is one massive turnaround.

Not playing well enough and not being good enough are completely different. Not that I think anyone said the latter.FactualFrank wrote:Only 3-4 weeks ago people were saying he wasn't good enough. This is one massive turnaround.

They''re both the same thing in the context.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Not playing well enough and not being good enough are completely different. Not that I think anyone said the latter.
You never hear football fans complaining about a player but then follow it up with, "But it's ok - he'll be good in 3 weeks".

Re: Robbie Brady
Until we get some quality strikers with the same speed of thought to interplay with him we will never see the best of Brady. If we had a Danny Ings now or had a Robbie Brady two years ago what a pairing that would have been
Re: Robbie Brady
They even look similar
Re: Robbie Brady
There was a rumour we were in for Ings this season before his knees exploded. We should go in for him in the summer. He'll never get game time at Liverpool. What an attacking four that would be; Ings/Gray/Brady/Boyd.

Re: Robbie Brady
Needs to get physically stronger to play at this level. Has the ability.
Re: Robbie Brady
Agree. I was thinking the same. Pretty much anywhere in that area and you'd hope Brady was claiming it. Can't have room for sentiment (Barton against his boyhood club) when we are trying to accrue points for survival.beddie wrote:He should have told Barton that he (Brady) was going to take the free kick, it was just perfect position for him. Re: Robbie Brady
Just need to get JBG on the other wing, Boyd was totally anonymous again, just running around a lot is not good enough IMO.

Re: Robbie Brady
What you need to remember is that Burnley players need to be good off the ball too because we generally have more time out of possession (hence people not 'getting' Boyd).
In possession I'm not sure running with the ball is as important these days as quick tight control and accurate short passing along with speed of thought and seeing angles. When you look at Spurs or Man City that is what all their players are very capable of. Even to some extent are Bournemouth - there was a passage of play yesterday when for a fair time Spurs forwards were chasing down the Bournemouth defenders but those defenders managed to keep possession and play themselves out of the situation - very impressive.

Re: Robbie Brady
Why do left footed players always get this thrown at themIanMcL wrote:Did well with his one foot.
There was a numpty who sat behind me at Turf who used to slate David Jones every game with
"Use yer f***** right foot"
Never heard "use yer left" shouted at any right footed player.

Re: Robbie Brady
Definitely improving, he does however need to improve his final ball, but having said that really looking forward to watching him play regularly.
