Colne v Clitheroe

Post by SkiptonClaret » Mon Apr 17, 2017 9:30 am

Good game for you Lancs people today - both still in with a shout for a play off place with two games to go.
I would be taking the back road over Elslack Moor myself but off to Guiseley v Tranmere Rovers instead. Guiseley probably need one more win for safety, Tranmere looking like they've bollocksed the automatic promotion place - it's going to be Lincoln, remember them ?

I remember Lincoln going down rather than us after the Orient game.

Far more important than that piddling little Cup game. ;)

Is that Lincoln City or Lincoln United? I've not been following non-league, sorry. ;)

A last minute winner for Colne if anyone was wondering. 2-1. On the verge of cementing a play off place.

500+ in the crowd. It's as close or even closer than the league 2 play-offs, though - play-offs are for 2nd to 5th, and Colne are 4th, Clitheroe 9th. But if Clitheroe had scored the last minute winner, Clitheroe would have been 4th and Colne would be 8th.

Cracking goal from Michael Morrison to win it.
