Where's open for food today?

Post by MACCA » Mon Apr 17, 2017 1:25 pm

Looking for somewhere to go for some food later in or around the Burnley area.

Will generally eat any style/type of food.

Fancied the all you can eat at Beijing, however it seems to be closed.

Also tried the recommended Park Inn, in Accrington ( Pub grub ) but it is just ringing out.

Any recommendations of where I could go?

Thanks in advance.

Staff of life at Tod is pretty good. Decor and what have you is a bit old fashioned but the food is really nice if you like English pub grub.

Depends what you want really.

Fancy loads of different meats and flavours hence the reason for Beijing.

Seen that kenanks do a steak platter at about £45, but not sure of the quality or portion size.

I'll stick Staff of life on the shortlist, but I usually end up going Glen View if I head over that way.

Gone for The Park Inn, Accrington.
Finally got through and menu looks good.

I'll report my findings.

Kenanks was OK. wouldnt pay £45 to eat there though. SOL is a fraction of that and far better IMO.

Not done Glen View or Park Inn.

For £45 I would be going somewhere like Assheton Arms which is still likely to feed 2!

The Park in was good.

On closer inspection they've missed out a round of drinks.

Would go again.

Indeed, I'm a well done man.

Smothered it all in sauce so couldn't see it. Could still hear in squeeling mind.

Was tasty. Worth another try. Had some cracking offers on!
