Would You Accept Burnley Losing IF........

Post by ElectroClaret » Mon Apr 17, 2017 7:50 pm

.....It was guaranteed to relegate Rovers, if we were mid table with nowt to play for?
Somebody has pointed out Villa fans may not exactly be sorry if they lost to Venkys
if it relegates Brum. Course we'd have to be in the same division. :D

Or would you never, ever, ever, EVER will us to lose, whatever the circs?

Dilemma?

Absolutely 100% would I accept our losing to send those horrible bastards into oblivion.

A no brainer.

It's unlikely that we'll ever be in a position where our result will have any affect on Rovers' league status. Still, it was nice knowing them.

I dont like the idea of it. Not only do things like this come back to bite you on the arse, we are a proper club who do things respectfully and in the right way.

Would I like to beat them to send them down? Absolutely.

Lose on purpose to do it? Nah.

For me, it's a yes.

I'm coming from the point of view that they went down and we were
actually material in that demise. Fabulous.

Small sacrifice.

No one mentioned losing on purpose, cf.
Of course we should play to win.

Simply not be too concerned if it happened.
Maybe "Accept" is the wrong word.

The day that I want Burnley to lose is the day I wear one of them special jackets in a rubber room.

Yes I would. But I don't need to really because...

We'll never play them again :)

Nah. Even finishing a place or two higher helps us recruit better quality players next season.
