Advice needed on where to sit with kids

Hi
Thinking of taking my 7 year old to his first game. Where's the best place to sit outside the family section as that seems fully booked, e.g. Where can we sit where people won't stand in front of us and there won't be too much swearing!!!?
Also where's the best place to park within a few mins walk from ground?

Bob Lord towards Bee Hole End would fit the bill. But probably full. The bottom corner of the Longside by the Bee Hole end, so JAmes Hargreaves Lower in the high seat numbers would be OK, lots of kids down there as well. Make sure you get the right end though! Should be seats down there as they tend to sell out last.

In terms of parking I would say..get there early, park up and go and have drink or a snack somewhere. In the streets behind the Park View there are plenty of spaces..Queen Victoria Road..and up above the Turf, off Brunshaw Road.

Don't park in the supermarket car parks, you will get a ticket, and they will chase it down.

Tell the children you will clap the players off at the end, make your way to the pitch side on the final whistle and clap/cheer them off. Thus no rush to leave the ground, pop into the club shop on leaving and buy them something to remind them of the day e.g. programme (this way you don't have to carry it into the ground). Then return to your car and hey presto the roads will be clearing, if feeling over joyed by the result get them a Burger too which will add a few more minutes onto the early leavers. Rushing to leave creates stress that doesn't have to exist if you plan ahead. UTC enjoy the game.

I've been taking my 2 boys (now 9 and 11) on for the last 3 years. You just have to accept that swearing will be everywhere - told my 2 that if they repeat anything they hear then Mum won't let me bring them again - worked so far. The worst language I've heard was in the JMU (so called family stand) - 2 old blokes shouting 'you F***** C****' to the ref every 5 mins - same 2 blokes for 3 games on the bounce. We now go JML near the front - not really had issues with people standing. I sometimes book their 2 seats directly in front of mine so they can stand. My uncle and his grandson have season tickets on the back row of JHU and they stand the whole game - best seats in the house apparently.

I always park on the carpark inside Towneley park - its a quid. If we run back to the car on final whistle I can be back in York by 6ish.

Jimmy Mac Lower would probably fit the bill, times I've been in there there've never been people standing and it's relatively easy to get tickets in.
