Amusing article.

A bloke I work with has one, it's either spin that or tap the desk or his foot.

The spinner makes less noise, but I think it does actually help him concentrate.

From the article.

time to talk about the latest threat to America: fidget spinners.

If you don't know what a fidget spinner is, you have likely spent the last month in a cave 500 miles from the nearest child. Congratulations. I hope you enjoyed yourself, as those may be the final moments of peace you'll ever experience.

Is that why the yanks bombed the cave.

Never seen them until yesterday. Two of my nephews and niece have one each and I found myself addicted to it! Better than a yoyo and thats saying something!!!

Beats palming them off with phones and ipads I guess!

Lad at the side of me has one at the turf! Spent half of this season biting his nails or constantly tapping his foot.

Seems to have done the job because at the UTD game he seemed calm and sat still all game.

Ian - believe me. They are simple but brilliant for the purpose that they are intended for.

Schools now banning them as all kids have them and this is causing issues - which isn't very helpful for the kids who actually need these for their anxiety.

Both my kids (6 & 9) have them, simply because they're a craze. Quite frankly, having lost them at least twice over the weekend and then fallen out with their cousin who borrowed it and wouldn't give it back, I've seen nothing to suggest they reduce stress or anxiety!!!!!!

Do your kids have stress or anxiety or are they just forgetful?

Luckily they don't suffer with either - I was suggesting my stress and anxiety levels have risen coping with the bloody arguments they've created.
